"That's funny, you asked me a question a soldier would ask, you didn't deny being a soldier when I asked you, and you threatened me like one of his uninformed soldiers would do. You're not one of his soldiers?" he asked. "Okay, then." So I wonder if I'll need to fight her... he thought.

Lucy stepped up to Zeel. "No, Aura isn't one of Ulkna's soldiers. How do I know? Because Aura and her brother Aurgal came into the tavern earlier wanting their injuries treated. They were in a terrible state. Aurgal had been half-blinded and his eye was a huge, bloody mess. Aura, as you know, had lost her voice. I treated Aurgal, but I didn't know what to do for Aura." She patted Aura's side apologetically. "So think about it... After what Ulkna did to them, do you really think that they'd work for such a tyrant? And even if they did, they'd have to have done something pretty bad to be hurt so much."

Lucy folded her arms. "You shouldn't just made assumptions. How could you tell just by looking at her?"

"Well," Zeel began, speaking as if Lucy was the most stupid thing in the world, "she threatened me like a soldier, she was in a position to execute me like a soldier would, and she was asking me questions that a soldier would ask. I also would expect a soldier to do something like that after the way I said Ulkna's name. In addition to that, she didn't answer 'no' to my question of whether she was a soldier or not, until just now. And I've seen Ulkna do much worse things to his own soldiers," he continued, recalling the guard, "he ripped one of his own men apart for a little misunderstanding."

OOC: I'll wait for Brom now.

Lucy scowled at Zeel. "Don't patronise me." She said. "Seeing as you used to be a slave of Ulkna's you must know how the soldiers speak. Just because Aura was asking you some simple questions doesn't mean she is a soldier. As far as I'm concerned, she and her brother hate Ulkna, just as the rest of you seem to do." She folded her arms again and smirked. "All that work you did for Ulkna seems to have made you paranoid. You need to chill. You're free, and I envy you."

Colum felt now was as good a time as any to pipe up, "Forgive us if we seem a little jumpy. It's just that havving every creature that you manage to bump into either has an alterior motive or simply wants to off you ddoesn't make for a trusting outlook on this place." Ss he finished, Colum spat on the ground to his left, in an attempt to show his distain for the city.

"Even you have an alterior motive!" thought Colum to Zeel as he spat on the earth. "And just what the hell do you mean about me and "the human girl"? Are you assuming I am tail hound?" Colum grinned and shot a wink at Zeel, "I would feel insulted if that wasn't all sorts of true."

"Anyways..." stared Colum, in a nonshelount way, "We can point fingers and claws at one another while calling one another Ulkna's henchmen and proceed to trying to kill each other off later. Right now however, I need a strong drink, some company", as Colum said "company" his eyes darted to Lucy and a sick smile twisted across his face for an instant, then receded back into the plain smirk of his, "and a small bit of rest." he finished, patting Zeel as he thought ,"lead on, noble scaly-stallion... scallion?"

What ulterior motive could you possibly be talking about? Zeel thought to Colum. Very well, then, we're just a few steps away from there...

"Now, if you don'tmind, we need you out of our way, so that we may proceed to a nice tavern or bar or whatever I've heard about here, if it's here., which I'm confident it is since I've seen something of it from the air." No one was really in his way, but he didn't really want to be within striking distance of the dragoness.

I almost forgot, I know you have an alterior motive. You've had it since I saw you in the smilthys. Dispite how much you may think I'm a sucker, I do know exactilly what you are planning. Sinc eoyu know dragons live much longer then humans, you waiting till your benafactor dies off and then you are a free dragon again. That or you'r going to off me yourself." Colum laughed at his oun absurdity.

Even if the dragon did kill him, Zeel would be haunted by Colum till he himself died. Also Colum had been expecting to be killed by someone or something sooner rather then later. It was his charming personality that made him such a target for things that like to kill, don't like to kill, or are on the fence about killing. Something that Colum couldn't quite out his finger on, made others want to wrap there fingers around his neck.

The boy lead the way, which was ironic as he diddn't know where he was going, past Arua. As he walked past the dragoness, he passed Lucy. He tryed to catch her eye as he wispered, "Hope to see you later." To add the perfect element of smoothness to his enticing offer, Colum took his open hand, and swung it behind him. His open palm swatted Lucy lightly just below the small of the back and just above the uper thigh. The boy intended to strike with the force to induce a stinging sensation, but not any real harm.

" Ahhh, but it's all about the timeing my friend" replyed Colum as he turned about and walked back toward Zeel (making shure to stay out of slapping range of Lucy and clawing range of Aura) "I have the strangest feeling that if you took my bow and left me for dead, much less finish me yourself, you would never be able to live with your annoying little voice in your head. YOu know, that one that tell's you to follow the rules when there is no logical reason to?"

Colum patted the blue scales before clambering on top of Zeel, "So, about this whole "not havving intrest thingy you have going?" The boy ran his had along his friend's neck, something like old friends have a certain way of greeting one another, like a phrase they always speak or a handjive they repetadly use. "I know nothing about dragons, or your... errr... rituals. So what is it? Is she not your color, sometihng like draogns can only ... ritual... with the same color girl? Is she not the right figure for you? Cause if you don't mind me saying, she seems to have all the right places for those curves... I think."

Colum covered his mouth and widened his eyes in mock horror,"My god... I think I know what the problem is. You arn't into her because of HER! You'r one of those dragons that live the life of the love that not be spoken!" The boy tryed to keep a straight face, but he simply couldn't. The blatent stupidity of his remarks made him laugh ever so hard.

Lucy froze and widened her eyes as Colum's hand struck her in a place where it shouldn't. She retained this pose for a few seconds before turning to Colum and Zeel's backs, her face creasing into a glare. She wanted to thump him. Who did he think he was? They didn't even know each other. The last thing she needed was some random guy following her around and using her as a source of pleasure. She was more than that. Plus she had enough to take care of as it was.

Then again, perhaps I do need a change... He is handsome I guess... She couldn't help but think.

She snapped out of her little trance when she realised that Colum and Zeel were heading down the side street towards the tavern. "I wouldn't bother," She said starting to follow them slowly, "The tavern's closed until 9am. Another 5 hour wait I'm afraid." She folded her arms smugly and glared at the back of Colum's head. "And don't expect to find me there in the morning," She said, "My back's barbecued." She managed to keep any spite out of her voice so that she didn't upset Aura.

The boy was annoyed by the lack of drink in this town, then abdunce of life threating... things... and the scareness of humans, more importantly, human girls.

"So what now? Does my blue friend starve off over here?" asked Colum, feeling a pang of hunger himself.

Lucy brought her head close to Aura's and whispered, "Neither of you should be sorry. I'm gonna help you, remember?" She smiled and stroked Aura's snout before turning her attention to Colum and Zeel.

"Do I look like a tour guide to you?!" She snapped, folding her arms. "As I said, I'm a newbie here too. I only go where I need to, so I only know these few streets." She looked around and thought for a moment. "No restaurants will be open at these early hours, and my... Morgan's tavern doesn't serve food anyway." She placed her hand on Aura's side. "I'm taking Aura to the inn where I'm staying - The Wayfarer Inn. It serves food there most of the time. If you two wanna come along then that's your choice. It costs to have a room though."

Zeel suddenly recalled that he had lost all of his possessions after he had become a slave. How could he pay for anything? "I think I'll just hunt. Where are some woods? I haven't had a good hunt in a long time."

You still haven't told me how to sever the link, Zeel thought. There are some thoughts I'd like to keep to myself.

"There's a large forest just outside the city," Lucy said, "Although, you might want to be careful that the guards don't see you. Not all of them know that Ulkna released you, remember?"

She then turned to Aura. "Ready?"
