Re: Next game
hah I second that xD
But really, just imagine how awsome would the old Spyro universe look on the next-gen consoles @_@
for example...
a bigger Artisans World with HD graphics *drool* :0
Hmm ... that actually sounds promising ... Oh man how I would love to see how they would redesign those stepping stones, that little hedge maze, the hills, the music, even when you start at in the beginning would be freaking awesome...
Oh yeah and not to forget those three pillars there as well, oh man - nostalgia !

That would be a waste! At least sell 5 copies to us who want them.

Oh, gosh...that would be GREAT. Spyro would look like he did in the end of the Spyro the Dragon trailer when he says, 'Cool!' and smiles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJooSRNihcA), the water would be realistic, you could see Hunter's fur...
And flippin' heck, there'd be a bigger chance of a SEQUEL to YoTD. How I wish Rare weren't XBox-only... D: They're great a developing animal collectathons!

Re: Next game
I'm guessing the next game will be set in the LoS universe, but not associated with the trilogy.
So that would mean its the sequel to DoTD, only Malefore's not the main enemy anymore right?

Re: Next game
No not exactly a sequel. Just a game with a different complete story set in the LoS universe with the characters from the trilogy.
The only way I see that happening is within three scenarios:
1. The three Year Gap game - TLOS game taking place while SCS (Spyro Cynder Sparx) were trapped in the cyrstal
2. Cynder game - most likely set during Eternal Night
3. Dark Master was really a pawn in some grand scheme game - Pretty much, saying that Malefor was truly a puppet in some dark enigmatic evil figure that resides somewhere in the cosmos looking for some ancient power and uses dragons to destroy the worlds in order to find it.
The third was is pretty much a stretch but these are the only way I can see them making another game in TLOS... and hope they don't

Re: Next game
I love how you guys say that you want the old Spyro games back, yet you still bought/rented DotD.
That's called weak-will. If they made any game and slapped the word Spyro on it, you will buy it. Don't say that you wouldn't, because everyone here knows that you would.
Personally? I enjoyed both ANB and DotD (not so much TEN).
You want to prove that you aren't weak-willed? Don't buy the next game.
On a lighter note, I hear the next game is going to have alot more quality than the previous games, seeing how it has been in the making for a few years now.

You can't judge a video game just based on it's looks and a bunch of trailers,reviews... and just bash it even tho you haven't played it
You go out and buy/rent it so you can see how it works and than place your opinions on the gameplay/story etc...

Riiiiiiight <_< . .. um ok. Look, I'm not type who really acts out of impulsiveness. Got to look around first and see whats up before I jump in. I'll admit, the first time I saw a TLOS commercial, I thought it was completely stupid. But I wanted prove if my feelings for it was right, so I bought all three; and figured out that yeah, it was stupid.
I'll admit, Cynder, in ANB is a very fun boss to beat-up, but that's it. Out of this entire trilogy, IMO, she's the best boss. She's not overpowered like Gual and Malefor, she doesn't have slow boring moves like Gual and Malefor, and out of all the bosses she has the biggest move pool.
In other words, you can't judge book by its cover. As for me wanting to go back to the original games; you know what, it wouldn't matter if they did or not. It wouldn't matter if they went to back to the original trilogy and introduced the original characters. It wouldn't matter, why, because I don't know a developer who will actually have the time, patience, and passion to make a good Spyro game.
Wants a good Spyro game? A game that re-capture the FUN of the original games and surpass it without having to re-establish the characters...
If they did go back, it will be a another half-*bleep* game just like it was with ETD and AHT. Yes, mind you, I found these games far more superior, than TLOS, but its pretty sad if you can't even surpass your first trilogy after all these years.
As for your last statement unless you got some official proof, to me, its just false hope.

Re: Next game
CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope its gonna be the sequel to DoTD!!!
I lOVE Spyro the way he has been since ANB.
me to I really can't, wait I'm over here bouncing off the walls just waiting for it to come out I've already beaten every game there is of Spyro besides the ones on GBA I don't like those they don't have anything to do with the rest of THE LEGEND. But when that game comes out I think were all going to go nuts don't you think.

I played the DS version of DOTD and I raged. Although I would still get DOTD even though, after much thought, it's not really my favourite.
Just to let you know, I've played some GREAT games that got negative reviews. There was one little comment I read saying "reviews are for those who can't think for themselves". Yes I read reviews but I also take a chance.

Re: Next game
@Apoc, exactly, that's why we need more evidence other than just the reviews. You may not agree with reviews 100% of the time, but they're the closest thing we have to concrete evidence about whether or not a game is good. Otherwise we'd just be arguing based on our opinions.
While his overall point doesn't make much sense (how are we supposed to know if it's crap or not if we don't play it?) I kind of agree with Neotyguy. That's why if I ever play DotD, it'll be a rent; I won't buy it unless I end up liking it, which I'm pretty sure will never happen. As far as I know, the original companies don't make any money off individual rentals, and I don't want to support them as long as they continue to make crappy LoS games.

Re: Next game
I actually hope they make another LOS game because DOTD left some HUGE gaps in story. They must close those gaps no matter what. Even if they have to make it 5 discs long they must close those gaps. Why because I'm tired of all the "what's gonna happen next" "what happened to Spyro and Cynder"?

'Just because they are bad doesn't make them very bad games'.
And I do not class TLoS as Spyro. Why? Because it's not! It's a different series altogether with Spyro's name slapped on the front because it would be an epic failure otherwise.
And, like Stormy said, TLoS Spyro and Cynder are both wet, drippy, uninteresting characters...

Hate to tell you this guys, but if they are going to make a classic Spyro game it's gonna suck, why? Look at the crappy job they did with TLoS what makes you think they'll do a better job with classic?

Re: Next game
I never said they'd do a good job with any kind of Spyro.
The point I've been making all along is that they should've just killed Spyro in the first place and started over with some new dragon before it came to this "reboot" crap.
