Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
I am hoping for a new Spyro game, though I swear if Activision doesn't release one by the time I succeed in creating a successful game series when I get my game studio up and running after college, I will use the money earned from the game series to buy the license for Spyro and make more Spyro games alongside my own series.

I hope your company doesn't become the next Equinox or Check Six. Spyro took revenge and killed both of them, and I'm sure you don't want to be run out of business by your favorite purple dragon.

Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
Trust me, I will keep to Spyro's roots by combining the two Spyro series into one, just to satisfy fans of both areas. Not only that, but so far my idea for a Spyro MMO seems like its going to work out well since people here seem to like the idea. I agree the games made by those studios were bad, but I will try to keep things new for Spyro while offering somethings that the players would enjoy and of course creating a great story. After all, 'Project Genesis', the codename for my game series that I have thought about for 2-3 years, would hopefully become the next Halo

Think the possibilities. With your game ideas plus my website I'm working on equal the Spyro series could be 5 to 10 times better than Call of Duty, even better than Modern Warfare 2.
Also combining both the original and legendary games. It gives everyone what they want.
We don't have to face a Boycott, like the LoS Boycott, which dragged Spyro's popularity down.

Indeed. I am currently taking College with a degree in the Game Industry, either modeling or development. Hopefully I can be successful with bring up a game studio, since many big-time studios started from a group of people making games.

Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
Neo you share my idea.
Combine both into one.
Only difference was i was going to have orginial spyro and TLOS spyro as two different entities and maybe as a family brother cliche.

Actually, the 'COMBINE BOTH INTO ONE' idea is an old one which surfaced years ago when Legend of Spyro was still new to the world. But hey, it is still a good idea but combining the two has to be done in a way that honors both versions/timelines. I am sure many of you have been paying attention to my project, Legacy of Ages. Well, if you have not then I suggest you start because things are about to really heat up... literally. I say combining ideas and concepts is probably a better way to go but everyone has their own ideas on how they want the franchise to move forward. However, I am sorry to say that getting Activision to go along with the program is going to be a rather big problem. The reason I say so is due to the fact that there is a very good chance that by the time most of you get enough funds together to buy Spyro he won't be Spyro anymore. Let me explain... There are talks currently going on behind closed doors at Activision that involve the Blizzard side of the company taking the Spyro franchise and merging/wiping it out by combining it with WoW. In other words... Spyro gets absorbed into the World of Warcraft and gets changed forever or as I like to call it... the big goodbye.
It may sound rather far fetched but when all this 'new direction' talk first surfaced my team and I started wondering what was going on. I started digging and found out about this. While I hope they don't go this path the fact that they are indeed considering it is rather troubling news to hear.
So in the mean time I wish all of you luck with your endeavors but the only way to save Spyro is going to involve teamwork and at the moment the fanbase is just a tad bit still too divided for that to happen. I am happy to hear some of you are considering teaming up but time is not on our side. Spyro's fate as a franchise is already being discussed and talked about and most... not all... the news is not sounding so good.
I thought I'd just update all you. By the way, the Legacy of Ages website is about launch very soon. The date has already been set so stay tuned for the announcement...

not this again. look, just stop talking about that Legacy Of Ages thing, okay? it's not happening and we all know that. quote from January 4, 2009:
These updated versions will be released on the Legacy of Ages website when it officially launches this year.

Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
Actually, jamieque announced in 2006 that the movie would be ready in time for August 2007.
Guess it took longer than expected, eh, jamieque? Three whole years longer than expected, and we haven't seen a trace of your non-existent company or the website promised that year? Not to mention the poor 'concept art' - drawings that I could easily top when I was 11, and poor-quality CGI. And how is it legal for you to make a movie anyway? Oh, that's right! It's not actually a real movie, because it's not going to be released in cinemas, but on the internet. So it's a fanimation.
Seriously, jamieque, I think you should give it up now.
Donate gems to me, biatch, and I give you cuddles.

Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
I have some pipe dreams of making a 100% free Spyro based mmo, but I have to recruit some friends first, and it would not be a true game made by a big name company but rather a fan game. However, as for all Spyro fans pooling the money to buy the series, most likely that will not happen unless a few of us happen to be wealthy. So if any fans here are rich, it would be best of you to come out and tell the rest of the fans if the fanbase has the intent to buy the series. Otherwise, without serious financial backing Spyro is basically as good as over. Acitivison and Blizzarrd just frankly won't touch the series anymore because they got better big moneymakers like World of Warcraft. In solely moneymaking terms it's better to milk the hugely popular WoW franchise rather then shell out tons of money on making a game for a series who's fanbase is smaller then that of an already made game.
However, even if we can't get the money and no new games are made, the seires can live on through the fans. We can still make fan games and fan movies and other things that can keep the series alive even after it's death. Just because the corporate creeps gave up on a series dose not mean the fans have to let it die. Just like Kamina of Gurren Lagann, the series can live on through all of us, in hearts. Spyro will never die no matter what Activision or Blizzard dose to try and kill him, as long as we keep him alive.

Re: E3 2010 and Spyro?
I think I figure out something.
At E3, all they talk about is "Over-rated" games. So as for Spyro, he actually have a chance to be release later this year, even know they said so little info on his next release.

I think the word "they" was referring to Activision. Many of the games they covered at E3 will be hyped for weeks, played like there's no tomorrow, and treated like they are the "BEST FRIGGIN GAIMS EVAH" until the next game is revealed. Then COD: Black Ops will be forgotten like COD:MW2.

I hate to say this, but I have a feeling that Activision's not making a Spyro game at all.
I sort of have that feeling as well, but I guess all we can do is hope for the best.

I can't wait until Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. There aren't much
games out there in the world that are both set in Vietnam era and are well
made. So far, EA has the best Vietnam game: Battlefield Vietnam. And
now I'm excited to hear that BF: BC2 Vietnam will be coming out in Winter.

If it's the one in your profile when I click the "www" button, it doesn't
exist, unless you're still building it up. But I'll be happy to be a part of it
once you create it.
