The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
The Future of Spyro the Dragon
What would I like to see in the future?

What if ... there isn't ... a future?

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
I have to agree. So what if it has been 'confirmed' that there'll be more games, it was 'confirmed' that there would be a film!
I like to hope they'll make more games, but I'm not one to gauruntee(sp) there will be.

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
Maybe there is no future. Maybe there is... you never know the next Spyro game might make millions and get heaps of awards or something.
I'm praying my *bleep* off that something like that to happen but, for now, I'm happy enough to just sit and wait.
(Because, there is no way I want them to start rushing and give us some half- *bleep* job.)

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
The last thing I want is a company rushing a Spyro game out to the
market. I'd rather them cancel the project than to make it total crap.

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
exactly, we don't need an Enter The Dragonfly situation part 2. that did enough damage to the franchise.

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
unfortunately, if a game doesn't involve shooting a gun or flailing your arms aroung with the controller, it probably doesn't stand a real good chance on today's market, especially since american households are cutting out a lot in entertainment budgets. Cheap video games are just not availible like they used to be. One of these days platformer games will make a comeback, its all about timing.
Wake me up... when September ends is here...

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
I bet the movie will come back, like Starcraft II and Duke Nukem Forever. It'll just be years from now, about the same time as Jazz Jackrabbit 3.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: The Future of Spyro the Dragon?
What do I have against the LoS trilogy?
-Boring gameplay
-Predictible and cliche storyline and dialogue that I saw coming from just starting the game.
-Poor characterization. (Sterotypical roles ftw?)
-Cynder, the Amy Rose of the series who's personality randomly changes between emo and prep *bleep* and clones Spyro's abilities
-Elijah Wood's voice acting. My god, is there not a more drony and whiny voice? Actually, don't answer that.
-PRPL DRAGONZ IZ SRS BIZNIS
Need I go on?
But I do like that one Line Malefor sprouted.

wow.
I guess I wonder too.
The original series had poor characterization, particularly in Ripto's Rage, and the storyline was as predictable as any platformer should be. The fact that you use these descriptions against LoS that the original series couldn't even top LoS in allows you no valid point.
Are you suggesting that Elijah Wood's voice is whinnier than Tom Kenny's?... the guy that does Spongebob's voice?

Rofl. Classic Spyro all had their own personality, everyone was different. Everyone in LoS, except Sparx, were all 'Blah blah blah we must save the world blah'.
And I do agree with Rukiredwolf - Tom Kenny is easily better.
And yes, on the character part, the original series DOES top LoS. Maybe not story, but characters? Seriously, that's the first time I've ever heard someone say that about the original series o_o;
