Maybe because It would kinda suck not to...Come on..It be like having a Mario game with no Bowser or Sonic game without Tails.

I liked SMB2, but most people call it out of place.

However, there is a reason why it is so different. Here's a very good review of the game:

Advance to 5:20 for explaination of the origins of the game.

Of course. But I find it interesting that as little as we know about the game, people are willing to believe any information that is bad, but anything that is good is falsified or "too good to be true."

I completely understand the unofficial-ness of some of these details.

February 18, 2011 update!

GAMEPLAY: Minor detail - Camera stuff, top-down view during gameplay.
GAMEPLAY: Added list of confirmed level/realm names - four of em! Only one unnamed.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: Changed name of the section from "TOY STATS" - better name.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: Added new characters, with 13 characters are seen, yet 5 of them still have their full info revealed.
FAQ: Rearranged all the questions, with the most important at the top.
FAQ: Added this - "How tall are the figurines?"
REFERENCES: Added notable sources, such as "YouTube video: Time to Play preview of the game"
REFERENCES: Added time length for all links containing a video

Check the first three posts I made in order to see the updates. There might be more things to add as time passes by, as early as Saturday or late Friday.

I don't know what you're refering to. The game seems to have a more top down view that remains fixed, but a manual control probably allows you to control the camera, just like all of the other games.

Yet another update on the same day (2/18/11), this update mostly focuses on the "Playable Characters" section -

[MAIN]: Added link about a Toys "R" Us page, special page about the game/product.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: 6 new characters have been sighted, marked with "[NEW!]". 19/32 characters seen, yet 5 still have the full info, and 9 have yet to receive an official name...!
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: Names of the playable characters/links to images of the character have given a bold text.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS: More than a couple of movesets have a link to an image showing how the action is seen.

I'm almost positive this is Prism Break and not another character called Stone Golem. However, I still suspect that a Stone Golem character exists, maybe it was the axeman???

After watching this a second time, I notice that in the background, the character wasn't changed from Spyro to Eruptor. A second player was added when Eruptor was put on the portal with Spyro.

I guess that proves not just the coop feature and two on a portal theory, but the flawless exchange that it processes. EtD could learn something from this...

3/6/11 update!

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: If you want the full experience, you have to get all the playable characters in order to access into certain areas that only certain characters can.
DEVELOPMENT: Some cleanup, with Toy for Bob claiming that this is their biggest project ever of course!
Q&A: Updated question "What is the cost of the video game?", added the confirmed toy figurines for the Starter Pack: Spyro, Trigger Happy, and Gill Grunt.
REFERENCES: Did some cleanup...you might notice something - some organization was made!
REFERENCES: Added 3 new source links! Each one from BSCKids, UGO, and The Telegraph respectively.

By the way, I need help - I'm trying to find the source link that says something that you can level up your characters to the max level (up to level 10) in around a few hours. I would appreciate if someone helped. o:

So basicly it's just a new game series called 'Skylanders' and Spyro is just one a character added on to it? Which means on the next 'Skyrlanders' Spyro might not be one of the main characters but a side one. Well.. I am glad Spyro is in it, that's all I'm going to say.

yeah, level 10 is the highest level they said and the article that said it hinted at hardcore gamers finding the game shallow. However, I'm expecting level 10 to be about as difficult as getting to level 20 in Shadow Legacy.

Do you mean there are character-specific areas, like one only Spyro or Trigger Happy could reach, or do you mean element-specific areas, like only a fire or magic type could reach? Or maybe only characters like Spyro who can glide can reach certain areas? Do we know this yet? Because unless they're cheap and easy to find I don't want to buy 30 toys to get 100% completion. (Assuming getting 100% even does anything, that is...)

Well, probably not too easy, since a glitch like that could jeopardize the income Activision gets for their product. I'm sure if this game get's online support, updates will be required to fix loopholes that keep you from doing those types of things. So, you better find the glitch quick!
