Re: "Console war" continuation
I like PC for games. But sometimes, the gaming companies are so focuses on the console versions, that the PC versions end up suckin'. For example" GTAIV

That's why you mod it. Though then again. I only have a few PC games that I mod. Mostly Elder Scrolls and Sims. Though I do mod games like Black-&-White and Stronghold, but rarly.

Re: "Console war" continuation
PC isn't made to be a dedicated gaming platform. You can use it as a dedicated game system, but you can also do video editing, 3D modeling, music recording, word processing, wireless screen sharing, and game developing. I have my Mac set up with a Virtual Machine to play PC exclusives like Jazz Jackrabbit 2 TSF and Sims 2, but I use the OSX for games available on Mac (Half Life 2, Minecraft, BattleBears). I have screensharing setup so I can continue Plants vs Zombies from any computer.
Sometimes I like to play games from the couch, so I got Wii.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

I know.
Btw, why do you use a MAC? They're x4 the average price of a gaming PC.

It's a Mac Pro that I got for less than $200. It's used and four years old, but community colleges sometimes have great sales to get rid of "obsolete" hardware. I recommend you try to find a deal at one of them.

No thanks, I prefer to use a platform that can actually play more than just a handful of games. I found a MAC Pro for £26,000 while the super PC I'm looking at was only £1700.
Also your post didn't really explain why you use it.

You just told me two things:
1. You dont have a laptop
2. You have no Wii games that require you to stand up.

You are so quick to assume.
1. I have a decent laptop for writing papers and non-processing-intensive web browsing.
2. I have a few of those stand-up games, but I'm tired of Wii Sports and Guitar Hero.
@Apoc
Mac OSX doesn't slow down over time, and has great non-interfering security. Plus it works on Intel PCs and has seamlessly integrated apps. As for the non-Mac games on a Mac machine, Windows can easily be installed on one.

Alright, I just asked because there are a lot of MAC users who use MACs because they used a PC 10 years ago(even though MACs were dreadful 10 years ago too).
I prefer the PC because it's cheaper, easier to repair, it can be easily optimised, it has a bigger library and it's fully customisable.

Re: "Console war" continuation
The Macs made 10+ years ago are seemingly just as fast now compared to when they were new, but yeah, the G3 iMacs aren't very good for anything but looking cool (and Nanosaur). You don't see me supporting the Apple Pippin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Bandai_Pippin though if they were to make another dedicated platform, it would catch on.

Battlefield 3's primary platform is the PC. It is a smart move for DICE.

If you have a Microsoft PC, just get Microsoft Security Essentials. It is a
sneaky, silent protection program that doesn't bark at the user every time
it feels like it. MSE sits in the background, like a silent guard dog. But not
only that, it's very effective. I've ran into little to no problems with MSE
through my 1.7 years of having it.

Re: "Console war" continuation
Didn't we already settle that people have different opinions on OSX vs. Windows?
Or should I create a huge long list of my personal opinions just like I did with the PS3. Is that needed here?

I just wanted to know why he uses one, seeing as there are a lot of MAC users who are complete morons(ditto for PC users)
