Haha, if Spike was related to Steven Magnet... I can't imagine him growing up to be like that.

Although, remember, when Twilight got her cutie mark she accidentaly made Spike grow up, and he didn't really look like a sea dragon.

Edit: Here's a pic, I guess you don't see enough to tell what kind of dragon he is, but I honestly think he looks too bulky to be a water dragon, maybe he just hasn't grown the wings in yet?

Whoa, haha! He looks funny. He kinda looks like that big bad dragon from How to Train Your Dragon. He also looks like a dinosaur haha.

The pilots must have happened canonically, because I'm fairly sure Luna is going to return in series 2, and it wouldn't make much sense if the pilots hadn't happened.
If Luna doesn't turn up then loads of bronies are going to RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE (still don't understand how she can be so popular with 20 seconds screen time and one line).
Oh yeah, and I just remembered in "A Bird In The Hoof" Fluttershy says to Twilight that Trollestia has met all of the main ponies before, so the pilots are likely to have happened.

Of course the pilot happened chronologically first. The other episodes can be a little fuzzy. for the most part, they are in order, but it doesnt make much sense that "Fall Weather Friends" is two episodes after "Winter Wrap Up."

About "Fall Weather Friends" being only two episodes after "Winter Wrap Up"; it could just be that there a large time skips in between some episodes.

True. But it's generally considered that the gala episodes ("The Ticket Master", "Suited for Success", and "The Best Night Ever") all happened within the same year.

As for the pilots actually happening, I believe they have. There's no proof yet, but Luna's episode will hopefully shine some light on that. What does a powerful alicorn do after 1000 years of moonin'?

sooo I just finished watching episode 25 (part of one) and now I am terrified of Pinkie. Especially since I decided to read that cupcakes fanfiction directly afterwards DX usually I am not to disturbed by gore (I read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac which is a graphic novel and loved it) but I found that fanfiction slightly hard to read at some points. And now I'm about to go to bed, uuuugh why did I do this to myself. *headdesk* whywhywhy

was anyone else disturbed by Pinkie's depressed insanity 0^0

(also don't read that cupcakes fanfiction. seriously. don't especially if you are younger, the last thing you need to do is read gore)

I read about a third of the way through Cupcakes before giving up. I also didn't notice any puns, but that's probably because I was deliberately skimming it so I didn't have to get a detailed picture of... whatever was going on there.

Oddly, my view on Pinkie hasn't changed after reading the Cupcake story. After all, it's just a story written by someone else. It's hard for me to change my view on someone by a mere fanfic.
One thing though. I felt terrible for Dash. Poor, poor Dash. Which is odd because I never feel sorry for anyone when reading a story.
