Things we actually hate about the Games

The checkpoints in the Legend Series [Except DOTD], they put you back in the stupidest places and so far back! When I was about to kill Gaul [After like an hour of trying and dying] One shot killed me And I had to start the entire battle again because of the stupid checkpoints. Didnt want to complete the game after that, already knew how it ended

Aw, Moneybags has some funny lines, though.

I won't get started on everything I dislike with the TLoS series, but as for the originals, some of the minigames were just really, really hard. And then when you fail you have to hear the character start to say the same line over and over and over. "Trouble with the trolley, eh?" "Yes, I'm having trouble, *bleep* it!" tongue

The flying in DOTD, I didn't completely hate it but when I though flying I thought "OH MAI GAWD!!! I'M FREE I CAN FLY LIKE A BIRD AND AS HIGH AS I WANT!!!" but no, only where the invisible walls let me fly and how high the game will allow me. I wanted to fly up and see the entire Valley of Avalar, but no, apparently either there's like a height restriction for dragons, or Spyro's afraid of heights and he wont tell cynder because he doesn't want to be embarassed.

I find the "mini game" in Aquaria Towers in Spyro 2 where you have to rescue baby seahorses from the towers annoying when I'm impatient.

I always liked Moneybags in his first two games because of how he made the gems useful and gave a sense of progress. And as Stormy pointed out, he has some funny quotes.

Oh, I hate Space Age speedway in Season of Ice. I almost can't believe I beat that one in the end.

thats not what I'm saying. He's finally able to fly not glide but what's the point with the barriers?

I also hate it that they add all this cool stuff to DOTD and it's the last game.

The point of the barriers is that it's a video game and it's impossible for any video game world to go on forever. Maybe in some games the barriers are disguised better, but there is no way they could actually have you fly as high as you want.

I haven't played the game, so that might be true. I was just saying you can't expect there to be no boundaries at all like Tiberius was saying.

for what it was, DOTD was a good game, and the flying was entertaining enough, but it's not hard to think of how good it *could* have been.

the barrier could have been a lot higher than it was in Twilight Falls.

come to think of it, i'm getting all kinds of great ideas for the Golem battle now.

and we can't go a 36isls36 post about DOTD without the obligatory Valley of Avalar comment.

I won't go into my hatred for LOS and Skylanders so I'll just go into the originals as well.

Every speedway. Every single one. Maybe having one or two as cool minigames would've been fine, but having probably five in each game? I spend at least an hour on those things trying to 100% them.

I hated the speedway levels so much. I was so bad at them. I had Stormy do half of them for me tongue

I couldn't agree with this more. I played ET and most of the time I'm being overwhelmed and I'm sitting there thinking to myself "If I'm having trouble playing this I think the kids are screwed" That is not a difficulty for a kid's game. DOTD has more of a child's difficulty. Got past it in a couple days.

But it also stops the game being played on an emulator... If you've ever experienced the crazy level of anti-piracy you put in that game you'll learn to hate it xD
