Games you've been playing

What games have you all been playing or looking forward to?

Lately I've been switching between:
Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest: Don't play this game on Hard mode
Stardew Valley (Harvest Moon-inspired farming game on PC): Super fun but time-wasting game. I'll probably have to drop this once I start working full time
Stepmania: Always my go-to for exercise. I've been deprived of it for almost a week since I've been sick sad
Far Cry 4: Bought this a to test my PC's limits. Ended up finishing it in about a week

I'm also really looking forward to Dark Souls III, which releases on April 12!

Re: Games you've been playing

The most recent non-Stepmania or DDR game would be Atelier Shallie. I got to a point where I have to level grind so I got kind of bored with it.

Re: Games you've been playing

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright: The game's story is so enthralling and the characters all distinct and unique minus the DLC it'll keep you hooked.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: I just finished it up last week with so many great characters, lots of good balance, and good modes. It'll keep you hooked plus the DLC characters are an added bonus.

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire: I finally got around to play it and with it being Pokemon's 20th aniversry and the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon later this year how could I not?

Splatoon: One of the most unique, innovative, and fresh games Nintendo's created and a new take on the first person shooters, this game has so much to keep you hooked, different gear and weapons to buy, a story mode Splatfests. Definetly one of the Wii U's best games!

That sucks when you're really enjoying a game and then you get stuck having to grind. Some people seem to like grinding though, strangely enough. I bought Bravely Default at full price a while back, only to realize grinding was going to be necessary, and I just had to wave goodbye to that $40 wasted.

Dang that is an impressive number, lol. I'm pretty sure the most hours I've played on any game was Pokemon Emerald back in the day with over 400 I think. What makes you keep coming back?

Oh, another game I'm looking forward to playing in the (hopefully) near fututre is The Legend of Zelda Wii U, which is supposedly coming sometime in 2016.

The worst part is it's the final boss level, lol. I played the entire game on hard mode and only now does it actually get hard.

I tried a demo of Bravely Default a while ago and managed to get my whole party killed. tongue

My father bought me Mortal Kombat XL to the PS4 today. I was there since MK3, but hey, the HD is golden.

I see a couple of you have been playing Fire Emblem. My friend has been going nuts over it. I assume it's been quite the hyped game?
As for me, I haven't been playing anything spectacular. I have been on a PS1 game spike for some reason, and started on Gex: Enter the Gecko about a week ago. I also bought Quantum Conundrum on impulse, and while I did have quite a bit of fun playing it, I'm a little disappointed at the lack of variety in levels and lackluster ending.

Re: Games you've been playing

I finished it and I'm done with it as I don't plan on getting DLC, but yes Fire Emblem Fates is something else. Intense, compelling, and engaging it'll keep ya hooked and you'll become attached to the characters.

I also got back to Team Fortress 2. I didn't play for three months... and I got only 2 items on the item drop.

Yeah it's a super fun strategy game with some good character development. I would highly recommend Fire Emblem Awakening first if you're at all interested in the series and have a 3DS. smile

I'm almost finished with FE Fates Conquest, but it takes being in a certain mood to be patient enough to deal with these final chapters in Hard mode.

I've been playing Stepmania like crazy lately... it's encouraged me to stay healthy and work out everyday too big_smile

Re: Games you've been playing

Looks like a high 13, nice! I want to start doing videos so I can critique my own form, but I can't figure out how to capture the audio correctly. hmm

I need to finish playing Fire Emblem Awakening too. I was really enjoying it, but I sort of stopped playing it during our move and forgot about it.

Re: Games you've been playing

Thanks! Hmm, well I've been using OBS Studio and haven't really had to mess with the audio at all; It just captures desktop audio automatically. Might be different on Mac though.

And you should! (if you can ever find the time tongue ) Awakening was great.

Lately, I've been playing lot of Don't starve together. Also left 4 dead 2 as usually (there are always some new maps in workshop), and Ori and the blind forest.

Oooh that looks fun ^^. I also like nintendo wii... I think the complaint on motion controls is weak, because you feel active and alive when using it i feel ^^.

Dancing looks much fun!

Re: Games you've been playing

I love ITG and DDR but I can't stand motion controls on Wii games. They feel shoehorned in for the sake of promoting the gimmick and don't feel natural at all. If I'm playing a traditional video game I just want to press buttons, not wave my arms around in the air in a weak imitation of swinging a sword. tongue

But i love standing up and playing ^w^. But i hope Spyro one day or other PS1 games will come to PS4 ^o^
But i think its good not to have bunch of nunchuks and wii remotes. Like 2 nunchuks and 2 remotes are enough and only one classic controller, and avoid the remote protection... that just gets in the way (I will admit some accessories are just too much). Having gamecube controller will also be messy. So its not so much fun when its so much wires. Which i will admit i dislike somewhat that motion wire i have to set up. But the concept and the games are pretty fun. But i dont think WiiU has been the most top notch thing though. And Nintendo NX... well i havent heard the best reaction to the rumors : 3
