Spyro's new look

What do you think of how Spyro looks in this game? Should he have changed or stayed with the old look?

Well, i guess he is just a little dragon, and i guess they made him look like just that. Kinda weird.... But it is spyro! So i like it.

Well if I could design him, he would look like he did in Spyro 1. Well... I guess it doesn't matter how dumb he looks, it matters if the game sucks or not.. It won't though. i hope

But the problem is, people will think the game sucks because of ETD and the way Spyro looks. Remember when you didn't want to buy Spyro 2 because you thought he looked stupid on the instrutions booklet?

I don't care how he looks either, I'm just saying other people who are new to Spyro might not like it.
As long it's fun to play, the graphics, how the characters look, whatever, doesn't matter.

Right. But for people who are not fans, a first impression is everything. If spyro looks weird, then they will most likey not play the game.

I don't really mind how he looks, now that I'm used to it. He definitely looks younger.

And I'm all for anything that veers away from the 'cute and cuddly' market. wink He's a dragon, after all!

Yeah, I didn't like how they portrayed him in AHT. He wasn't sarcastic enough, like he was in the originals, especially Spyro 1.

Though this thread is quite old, I feel I should voice my opinion here.

Though I agree too that he is not the best looking dragon in this game, there are certain parts and things I would like to point out.

a) As has been voiced by DDR_Maniac, he is still a dragonling at this point. As all who have had experience with young children will tell you, children look quite ugly in the first couple of weeks of life. After that you get used to them, and start to appreciate them as living breathing creatures. Would it not be the same for a young Spyro? You make the decision.

b) The term 'looks can be decieving' would be a good one to use here. Ignoring the fact that VU completely ****** up the storyline, this little dragonling can do amazing combo and tail melee attacks, not to mention use breath and magical powers that mostdargons can only dream of. This sort of overrides the ugliness front a little bit.

c) As he is a dragon, he is not supposed to be a great looking guy as some humans would compare him to. He is a scaled mytical creature, not your best mate, so in my opinion which you don't need to listen to, it does not matter how he looks. but as I said, that is just my opinion!!

Acually he really doesn't. When we got the game he looked a lot better than he did in the screenshots. I kind of like Spyro's new look too. He needs a change once in a while.
