Re: A History of the Dragon Kingdom

i think the best way to explain it is the tLoS is a history of the original trilogy, ive even heard people say that originally that is what the series was meant to be (before they said "screw it REBOOT lulz"

the increase in purple dragons could be a form of evolution in which the purple dragon gene became slightly more prominent due to purple dragons being successful breeders (the purple dragon gene could be a highly recessive trait, to explain its original rarity) in other words, purple dragons may survive to create enough clutches of eggs to create many offspring of purple gene carriers each with a chance to produce purple offspring

alternatively the magic explanation could involve the dark master's power spreading across the land showering hybernating eggs with it, thus removing the purple dragon rarity

Re: A History of the Dragon Kingdom

Yeah, Thats what i believe in my theory, but i was saying that if the series were directly connected, the purple dragons in spyro 1 would have been born before spyro, meaning the darkmaster was still ruling, meaning it was still the time when purple dragons were rare and only born every 10 generations. So the purple dragons in Spyro 1 MUST have been born many years after the darkmaster's death and so hence TLOS Spyro is NOT the same Spyro as Original Spyro.

(Also, As the purple dragon's rarity faded, the magoic in the purple dragons faded with it, and they became like any other dragon)

Re: A History of the Dragon Kingdom

An answer to the whole debate, as given by Mike Graham (or Chris Wilson...I forgot who said it; either way, these are the guys who are behind LoS): LoS is a complete Spyro series reboot. It has nothing to do, story-wise, with any of the old games. That is official, straight from the producers' mouths.

But it is still fun to try and think up ways to tie the two together. Or just thoroughly enjoy the alternate universe glee. big_smile

Finally!
But it is kinda fun to think up ways to connect it, I'll agree big_smile.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions...I just don't want to hear them. (kidding).
