Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
He turns 12 in Year of the dragon, that means he's 11 in the first two. (all dragons are born on the year of the dragon). So the other dragons in the Spyro games has to be an age on a multiplied 12 or 11 scale.
For example, in Spyro 1. The draagons you save are either 23, 35, 47, 59, 71, 83, 95 and so on.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
I learned Spyros age years ago, I found out once I played YoTD. Spyro is to young to be 24, so he had to be 12.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
It is possible that some dragons may be born in other years but year of the dragon is the prime breading period.
Who knows how old spyro is in YOTD, he can be Any age, remember, Dragons age much, MUCH slower than humans.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
well according to Spyro3 in the original trilogy, Spyro must be twelve (seeing that all dragons are born in the year of the dragon and Spyro 3 was the year of the dragon) unless some dragons weren't born then
AS for TLOS, Spyro doesn't really look twelve, he is far too small (on the art of cource), i even thought he looked around 8 or 9 in ANB but with a weird voice which doesn't suit his age (and being a dragon he's naturally smarter), but it must of followed Spyro 3's idea of all dragons been born in year of the dragon and that game being yer of the dragon.
PS: This is pure evidence that they are not going to connect the series to the insomniac series otherwise Spyro must of been 24 in the next year of the dragon, ahhhhh NO!!
Personally I'd say that dragons likely go through a large growth spurt at around like 16 - 23ish I guess? But yeah you're right Spyro is quite small.
He's probably smaller than Baby Dragons in Runescape lol. And they're like 4.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
He is 12. XD the baby dragons are brought to the dragons in the year of the dragon. Sp practically all dragons have birthday once a year. But I've also heard that a year for a dragon is twelve. So Spyro would count him self as one year old.
But in our counting Spyro is twelve.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
Yes. in the original Spyro games. He is supposed to be 12. But in ANB he looks like a baby on the cover of the game. But his voice sounds older than he looks.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
I cant remember if i posted in this topic with my newest opinion, owell.
Anyway, i believe that the original Spyro could of rightfully been any age in Spyro 3 as long as he is pretty young. Think about it, Dragons might accidently breed between YOTDs (even though most dragons are born then). Also, We dont know if Spyro was 12 in Spyro 3, he might of been 34, or 36 or 48 etc because remember dragons age much slower than humans.
We should not jump to conclusions when suggesting Spyro's Age, i think the developers have left us up to have our opinions on this.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
Spyro being twelve is most likely just the human equivelent. It's very doubtful that he is actually twelve years old, unless dragons age more slowly than us. :-P
Human years and dragons years are very, very different.
My theory is some of a leap year sort of thing. Every 12 years, he gets older. Then again, i may be wrong

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
TLOS Spyro is 7?
Question, was the year that Spyro found Ignitus in the year of the DRagon, then Spyro must be 12/24/36/48 because it states that TLOS Spyro was born in the year of the dragon.
And as i said, Original Spyro, we cant be too sure.

Re: For anyone who doesn't know Spyros true age....
no, hes saying that maybe one year for us corresponds to a few years, like how one of our years= 6 dog years.
hes saying that 100 dragon years= 1 human year or whatever.
