Re: Rate this Game
It was definately one of the best games in the series, and still is amazing. Better than the new ones if you ask me.

Re: Rate this Game
It was definatley good.
Not many games I go back and play once I have the latest installment of it, but I still frequently play the original 3 games a hell of a lot.
It's also good that it wasn't a total buzz kill towards the first game, cause I know there are quite a lot of games out there and the first one's really good then the second one's just totally *bleep*. Luckily that wasnt the case. This is still one of my most favourite games... period.

Re: Rate this Game
Option 2. There should have been 2 more worlds. That would've made it enough for my liking!
I like what N0NiX is saying about going back to the original 3 dispite owning newer Spyro games. I do that too and I have up to AHT!

There should be a section in SpyroWiki for Cheats & Glitches. Hopefully there already is and I'm just too lazy to check

Re: Rate this Game
theres something that just makes each of the originals fel one of a kind.
Spyro 1- Big, adventurous lands which were all made for exploring
Spyro 2- Funny stuffs, nice variety of levels
Spyro 3- Great variety of fun minigames, tonnes of play time

Re: Rate this Game
Yeah. Spyro 2 was rushed in the landscapes and Spyro 3 hav a way to big variety. I liked the original game where each realm had a theme, instead of each level.
But 2nd and third spyro game actually have themes.
Summer Forest: Light levels, sunshine and summer. Hurricos is abit summery too
Autumn Plains: Mountain and Desert levels + Autumn themed Harbor breeze and Zephyr
Winter Thundra: Supposingly winter themed, but mostly themed as magic and technology
3d game:
Morning Springs: Light themed levels, usually at the light morning.
Midday Gardens: Midday levels, Bamboo terrace and Enchanted towers
Evening Lake: Darker shady levels, usually in the evening. Frozen Altars and Fireworks Factory
Midnight Mountain: Not very midnighty, more cultural really. Civilization themed. Dino Mines, Cowboy. Haunted Tombs, Egyptian. Ancient greek level thing (forgot the name). Crystal Island, mysterious and Agent 9's level is future themed.
But the themes in Spyro 1 was the greatest.
** Look at where the sun or moon is placed on some of the levels, theres one level in each realm which isn't themed as the realm. Dino Mines, Bentley's Outpost, Spooky Swamp and the Tiki lodge level

Re: Rate this Game
I think it's good that Spyro 1's levels aren't necissarily themed, although having said that, it's probably only the Artisans world that isn't themed! There's...
Peace Keepers = Rocky Canyon Terrain (excl. Ice Cavern ofcourse ...oh, and Night Flight!)
Magic Crafters = Snowy &/or Mountainous
Beast Makers = Swampy or a Deep Forest, the colour of Green in general (excl. Wild Flight)
Dream Weavers = Dream-Themed!! Lots of Purple and Dark Blue skies. All the levels seem to feel as if they're very high-up and are floating.
Anyways, I'll see if I can get further in Spyro 3 sometime.

Re: Rate this Game
My dad and I used to play this game all the time when I was little. It as one of the first games I ever played. That is why I like it so much. My dad is away right now, but when he gets back we are going to play SRR and YOTD together just like old times
