a republic can be problematic too...if not look in my country there was a civil war cause of that years ago...ww3?!...we are in it now!...look at iraq and the nuclear program of iran...it can't be good...all that world is so corrupted by us...let's recycle a bit! big_smile

I vote all money being used for war should go to finding a clean, non-nuclear, renewable power source to replace fossil fuels. ( the reaso that instead of helping the hungy is because that would be fixed by having the farmers grow the food the goverment pays them not to, and the money they would be payed to not grow stuff is then used to buy that food which is then sent to those that need it )

gwenio...actually there is a lot of renovable non-nuclear and non fossil source of power...have you heard something about the solar energy or the eolic one?

nah, were not, most countries wont get involved in a large scale war without a huge, and I mean HUNG resion, like their supply of cash has stared to run dry from an invasion [belive it, 70 % of the things that happen are for $, 20% for religion, and 10 % is chance]

Once a lot of money is involved in something, then, and only then, does it really matter. Look at hurracanes and natril disasters. Every journlist and they'er brothers come to make a movie showing how terrable it is for the people in said place, but they keep all the cash, odd isn't it? And when a large company contributs, they make shure they get face for it! Like an ad that the public favors bacuse it seems nice. Along with global warming, who is saying that golbal warming is happing? Mr. 15 PHD's and has a masion in Baverly hills? Thats how they get their money, by coming up with something, making it out to be worse than it is, and saying "IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD, GIVE ME COLD HARD CASH AND ILL STOP IT!!!"

Actilly, their is a groop of people who are actilly comming up with a way to "harrness the power of the sun", figurtivly of corse. As we all know that the sun's surface is too hot for anything to contain it without melting. Well, let's say we diddn't "contain" it let's say we suspend it? They are using magnets to keep the overly hot stuff from melting right through the containers [nifity anit it?]

Solar needs more work to be practical. Of course some of the money could go to setting up solar power plants.

and cellouse ethanol can be made by grass, woodchips, the husks off of corn, just about anything, even hemp.

But for ethanol to have more energy in it than it takes to make it pretty much the only thing that could be used is sugar beets (or something else like that). Otherwise you burn up to much energy for what you get out of it.

there is stuff called switchgrass, and it is loaded w/ cellouse, and it can be grown just about anywhere w/ very little maintainence. which gives a whole lotta fuel, with very little energy needed to make it.

in my country the "scientist" were trying to do bioethnol from the oranges...i think they only need the skin of them...so i have to eat a lot!!(they pay me for that yikes ----- wink (its a joke big_smile )

About Hydrogen... if, when it's used, the water is gone forever right [I think that's what happens] hypetheticlly speaking, the water we have has been in a cycle for years and years and we never get any more, competly using it in cars doesn't seem like the brightest thing to do.

When the hydrogen is used it bonds with oxygen forming water.
2H2+O2=2H2O
Hydrogen gas and Oxygen gas have a higher energy than water so energy is released. But hydrogen blows up easily which could be a problem if you have a wreck...

That is the current problem is that the hydrogen is almost too explosive. They are trying to find a way to contain it properly.
