Lots of games do especially back then. Spyro 2 is different to America in England as well.

Yeah, I was surprised when I heard it was called Gateway to Glimmer everywhere else. I remember having an argument with someone at school in like third grade who swore the game was actually called that and not "Ripto's Rage!" I'd never heard of that before. I still wonder why it even had two names in the first place....

The original name for the game was Gateway to Glimmer.
However, NTSC (USA) and PAL (Mainly Europe) were given two different demos, of two levels each (can't remember exactly which ones), but the USA version didn't have Glimmer in it, so the title for the game would seem weird to those who played it, so the name was changed to Ripto's Rage, and kept that way for the full game.

A Hero's Tail (Xbox) but it looks really childish... But I want to give it a go.

Games I don't want to own:

Skylanders. It looks horrible. Spyro looks disgustingly ugly and it's as though he's been whacked in the face with a frying pan until all brain cells are dead. It's not the same little dragon I fell in love with as a 6 year old girl.

My brother has Skylanders but I've sort of been avoiding it... I've played it a little, and it's just not as much fun as the others.

My cousin has The Year of the Dragon, which I love, so I play that one sometimes but I don't own it.
