Next week at June 19 or 20 or 21 I may be unusually un-present on the forum. This is because I am going to add booster parts on my PC. (disassemble laptop, add parts, reassemble laptop, softmods...)

Yes, because booting up into a linux distribution which effectively disables any filtration that they have that would start up with windows is really a "hack" on the school filters.

I'm surprised they don't filter at network level.

Lots of school networks filter at network level.

Theres lots of different systems available that is at network level that schools just plug inline with the network.

Well I'm out. Sorry, I can't put up with this forum, there's just too much nonsense and so little of it being moderated. This is just my opinion, of course, I mean, I'm sure what I'm saying just doesn't apply to a lot of people, and I fully understand that. I tried going with the flow, but it's just too cluttered for my tastes. Nothing against any of you personally.

It might be my fault, I might just be too used to forums that had strict rules and strict governing moderators, that it's all I'm comfortable with at this point. Sorry it didn't work out. I will be giving all my gems, although not very many, to someone randomly

You can feel free to ban this account if you wish.

It might just be the overall age group and demographic of the forum members around here that create "nonsense" threads. I've been on forums on different age groups, as well as on different levels of moderation, and I can understand your point of view. Personally, I shrug off the lack of moderation and cluttered threads, but it's not for everybody. Nice to have you here anyhow. See you.

I second that, I only read things if they catch my eye, if not I just click 'mark all posts as read'! big_smile It doesn't seem cluttered to me, in fact on other forums I just can't get into it as much as this one! Anyway, so I'm not too off-topic, I won't be on this weekend (due to a big gala which we host every year) nor the next one (this time being due to doing my Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award expedition). I will come back after the last one very grumpy, my feet will be covered in blisters and my back will be done in by carrying a bag half my weight..... But it will be worth it when its on my CV and I have a trip to Buckingham Palace under my belt! XD

Hey,

I'll be gone Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and part of Wednesday. I'm going to Cedar Point (Largest Amuesment park on Earth and home to some of the tallest and fastest roller coasters)

Also, since we're moving, we have to make the change from DSL to satellite internet. I don't know how long until our connection is back up and running.

Until I return, I don't want any posts in "Dr. Drake's Dragon Tutoring." Due to the fact that I don't want people trying to take my place while I'm absent.
