*The city was built as if for war, with roofs gradually getting smaller as the outskirts of the city was reached. Sentries patrolled the city walls, ready to attack at the slightest hint of an enemy. Even the inhabitants themselves seemed to expect to be attacked at any time. In the alleyways various creatures lurked, some homeless, some on business. Various shops sold all sorts of items, from armour to furniture.*
