Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
Your welcome Ratchet, you need at least some praise after all that work you did on it. Also yeah its that many games i think, lol XD but still good linking them together, also have you noticed that the buildings shown to be built again at the end of DOTD look similar to the ones from original spyro? As well as that those floating islands that were left could of been an early dream weavers world. Just what i think it might be like.

Yes, The whole world breaking apart thing was one of my inspirations for connecting the series, how it was like the dream weavers worlds and such

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
KING? I don't know, I kind of stole the "Vanguard" Idea from Jamieque.
I am glad you admitted that, Ratchet. I must say I am quite flattered that someone used my ideas from the timeline that is being developed for both Dragon of Destiny and its upcoming film prequels, LOA (Legacy of Ages). However, I think I should point out that the history is not quite right.
The way I look at the two versions of Spyro is that they are indeed separate from each other. Yep, I decided to just admit it and move on with my original plans. The secret plotline of the upcoming LOA films will explain how both universes became one timeline and believe me when I say that it is going to be a real dozy of a story.
To say it will be jaw-dropping is probably the best estimate I can say for now. Anyway, expect some very unexpected surprises and plot twists that will redefine the entire Spyro the Dragon franchise as a whole...
If you curious about what I mean by that then be sure to be on the lookout for the upcoming 'SNEAK PEEK' week that will finally reveal the new designs of Spyro, Ember and Flame along with everyone else including Hunter, Bianca and Elora. Also, the first glimpse of the totally re-imaged Dragon Realms and Avalar also be revealled along with a few hints on the acutal secret plotline of the first film...
Trust me when I say that the films are going to leave everyone on this forum shocked and amazed. Yes, the plot is that good and considering the last ten years of Spyro storylines has been on the thin side I think that is saying a whole lot.
The biggest thing me and my team wanted to do was do a Spyro the Dragon adventure that had some 'REAL' weight to it. In other words, to finally start answering a lot of the questions that have been hinted at over the last 10 years while actually moving the storyline forward.
For details on what I mean look under the 'Legacy of Ages' topic that will updated later this week.

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
I love threads like these, they take obvious things, and turn it into something not-so-obvious and creative that satisfies almost everyone. Nowadays, everyone seems to either be a classic lover and new hater, or someone who doesn't mind about either. I like to know that many people don't mind that Spyro is taking a darker storyline with more combat.
Although this 'is' strange... New Spyro before the Classic?

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
that sounds good, but to be fair and address all possibilities. So even if you dont agree with it, just for laughs and giggles, will you make a time line for tlos coming after insomniac? i have a suspicion that i cant shake telling me that the old spyro is malefor. and he and ember are his ancestors. think, the first 3 games he breathes fire, then learns other elements like in the story. there were so many other dragons that could have been "the ancestors" even if you guys don't like it, in the absence of games, what else is there to do? lets mull this one over ey
The Legend of Spyro and Cynder will continue.

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
Well yeah, Godzilla, I can pretty much picture that, it sounds pretty reasonable and a good twist too. I might try and make that Timeline, whatever, it sounds like a good idea

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
I want to work on a timeline that is the opposite- Ins before LoS.
To me it is just a little too obvious that the martial arts and LoS... To the drawing board I go!
So far on the timeline: My current spyro timeline (Insnc - LoS)

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
Looks pretty consistent. I only have one question. Your time-line states that Malefor was born before Ignitus. I thought it was the other way around since Ignitus knew all about how they banished Malefor after he began to exhibit too much Power. I would assume by that, that Ignitus was either a teenage/Adult Dragon... Possibly already a Elder Dragon when Malefor was a child.
Overall.. It looks Great. You did some pretty good darn work

Re: Spyro the Dragon Timeline
Im not much of a fan of LOS so see I wouldnt know that lol. But one could also assume that Ignitus simply heard the story from someone else, such as his father or grandfather
