what inspired you to play the spyro games?

i used to have a friend wholive a couple houses away, he was a couple of years older than me and he had loads of games for his ps1, one day went round his house and i saw him beat the snot of gnasty gnorc. i thought tha was so cool so i got my mum to buy me it and the i wa hooked. but he moved away so i kinda lost interest but i still occasionaly play the games.
but i dont really like them

my mom has always been real into dragons and mythological stuff, and she definately by far inspired me to play it. we had seen a commercial for it and that was it. we went and bought Spyro: The Dragon and now we have all the old ones, most of the ones for gameboy advance, and have rented all the newer ones and own Spyro: A New Beginning. My preference definately lies with the original three tho. Im playing Spyro: Year Of The Dragon right now wink

me its with a (Book sold its what the real name?) anyway its with a magazine es sold 2 games Spyro 2 Season of Flame and Spyro enter the Dragonfly for Gamecube at this moment i begin to search what is Spyro and when i know is a Dragon able to Breath the fire (i like Dragon)im going to Download the first game Spyro the Dragon for PSX and im trying and i finnish the game with one or 2 weeks

Well,I was able to see what the first game was like before I got it myself. That's what got me interested in stories about dragons. I was about 7, and a friend of mine who had it was always asking me to help her on Tree Tops big_smile . I've stuck with the series since then, buying any games I could. I'm still trying to get heroe's Tail though. I'll get them all someday though :geek:

Hmm. One reason I got into it was because of my interest in dragons. The other is because I got Spyro The Dragon and a gift way back when it first came out. It was one of my first games. I think I was 7 at the time.

I had just got a PS1 and I wanted some good games with it. I saw the cute dragon on the cover and it looked like a really good game, so I decided to get spyro:Gateway to Glimmer(the 2nd spyro game). I really liked it and ever since then I have played the spyro games!

Crash was my first ever game, but Spyro was a close third. (My sister owned the orriginal Playstation and got a Twisted Metal game on it. What? I can be distructive sometimes! :devil: )

Well I used to get tired of digimon and i wanted something new that put fire in my soul. When i first played Spyro I knew that was the game for me. I loved the feeling of being a dragon. Breathing fire, flying, and collecting gems. It just made me so happy playing it. Thats wheni knew dragons was my favorite creature. Spyro was my first dragon game and intro to dragon, and always will be. Know that i look back at it, it makes me happy that i played Spyro and became so addicted to it. It helped me meet all you cool people! <)

You know, that's exactly what I think when I look back at my early memories as a gamer. Times have changed and the feats I can accomplish have grown, but one thing is still the same. The hunger of an increaseingly better game. smile

when i first saw a dragon on a game cover in the stores i couldent shut up about spyro this and spyro that and when i got the first game.... what can i saw i've been a diehard spyro fan ever since.

I had just gotten a PS2. So I went to EB games to look for some games. I saw the Spyro Trilogy pack there. I was quite intriged by it so I bought it. I then played all 3 of the games later and well, I loved them. My fav PS1 games ever. Too bad the disks broke last year... =P

I played the demo that was on Crash Bandicoot: Warped...I became hooked. The 1st game I've ever played was Metroid (NES)

Back in the days where PS1 was out before PS2, there weren't many games that interests me. But My dad go me Spyro 1 for my first ps1 game and was hooked ever since.

Hmm. Well, since I had just gotten a PS1 and it was one of my first games, I kinda had nothing else to do. Then most of my PS1 games disappeared when I got a PS2. For several years, I had forgotten all about Spyro, until I bought something Spyro-related. Then, bang. It all started again. :-P

Spyro's looks had always appealed to me, but since the first games were for playstation, I was never able to get a copy. Years later, when LOS came out for GameCube, I decided to try it out, and ended up with a new favorite series. smile
