My Opinion on Spyro 2

I think Spyro 2 is my favourite Spyro game from Insomniac. They should have carried on creating them. The reason for them stopping apparently was, said by Ted Price was that he was limited, for example 'He doesn't have hands, he cant hold a gun' but yet Sierra has done alot more with him, including meleee, different breaths etc.

Anyway, back to what i was saying. Its a shame that i no longer own a copy of the game, as i had a pirate copy, given by my dads gf. It got so glitchy, i couldn't load a file, if i defeated a boss, the screen would go blank, so i threw it away. I probably will get it again. (A genuine copy, of course)   smile

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

i agree with you on this being the best game. The levels are great and fitted perfectly with the music. It has a great story line, fun bosses. Its all around great. if your looking for a copy of the game, try ebay. i see them there all the time and they are real cheap too

I agree with ontels. It was Really great, but not the best. Year of the Dragon feels a bit more complete.

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

Better than YotD, but not good as the first one. This game was too easy and a fourth homeworld would been appreciated. Yeah, and no loot from enemies mad  mad !!

Yea, I suppose so. But the good thing is that they actually did something with enemies. And how they made the particles power power-ups

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

This Spyro game is one of the best one of the original five. Especially considering i haven't even completed the fourth or fifth games...  hehe. The first one comes in second place. Ripto's Rage just holds the place in my heart of the first Spyro game played. [Blame my mom for that wink ]

Excuse me. I seem to have to go destroy another evil. They are just popping out all over the place. First the Zerg, then Voldemort...

I consider the five playstation Spyro games before the trilogy ones the 'original' ones. Cause, I've noted that they are all interrelated in someway. Contact me if you want to know how. wink

And good for you BlueSpirit. I believe that Spyro was my first video game as well...   o_O , though I'm not sure; plus you have an awsome avatar!
Hunter must be really annoyed.

P.S. Excuse my grammar. My mom is an English teacher and I have recently been using semi-colons a lot. neutral

I don't know if there were any others before Spyro the Dragon, but I still consider the five for the playstation to be the original (Spyro the Dragon through A Hero's Tail)

Hope this helps you understand my convolted logic! wink

Convolted may be spelled wrong; take that English teachers around the world

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

It maybe so, but in my mind, the aforementioned in my last post are still the originals. If other people can't accept that (not aiming at you ontels), then... I don't know. Good thing I stopped. I was about to go all dramatic there, but my point is still the same.

No hard feelings to anyone unless we can;t understand what each other is saying, right?

*your philosopher side is showing again*

Where?!

They're part of the original series though. Same with the Gameboy Advance ones. They aren't part of the Insomniac Originals obviously, but to say they count in the original series is absolutely correct. smile

Besides, it's not like it was really a solid trilogy at the start. The third game didn't end any arc really, the story flowed into the following installments, albeit most find it went bad from there on.

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

I have only a slight idea of what you guys actually mean... but I will do my best to bring whatever it is for everyone here to understand whatever they need to understand.

Firefly is right when I'm refering to the two games that weren't made by Insomniac. But, ontels, I talking about just PLAYSTATION (1 and 2) Spyro games, just as I said in a previous post or two, none of the ones for any other system. I have had one for Gameboy Advance, but I lost it within five dyas  neutral

Hope everything is cleared up. Repeating myself to people older than me can get very annoying, and that is very hard to get me to feel - annoyed.

No, what I'm saying is the first FIVE for the playstaion. If you don't know which ones those are, look up Spyro on Wikipedia. If you don't know what Wikipedia is, I'll nuke you... And the entire world...

Now (!), do we all know what I'm talking about now? If you don't, I'll do to you what I'd do to you if you didn't know what Wikipedia is, only hundreds of times worse.

Now, I'm off to destroy the Zerg. They just multiply so quickly it's hard to keep 'em down for long.

*In the backround - Die you Zerg trash! I'll make you regret ever trying to take my soda! And quesadillas! And keyboard! And computer! And my lamp! And most importantly... MY PENCIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That I have thousands of!!!!!!!!!!! But not my sister... you can have her... *

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

Well I supose your intitelled to think that but let's face it. ETD was a compleate loed of crap I think evreone agrees on that. As for AHT while the gameplay was tolerable all the charicters had those annoying new voices Hunter was the worse.

I have no arguments with any of the above. ETD was sad, but blame the peaople who made it come out when it did. If they didn't , it probably would have been more enjoyable, less load times, more levels, etc.

With AHT, though the voices are all out of wack, it still was better than ETD.

Re: My Opinion on Spyro 2

Good for you. Since you've followed the Spyro games since you played Ripto's Rage, do you think any of the other games are better than Ripto's Rage (I just can't call it Spyro 2 or RR for some reason, but oh well)? It's time this topic got back onto discussing Ripto's Rage, not what has been going on between ontels and I for a few posts.

Talk about Ripto's Rage!
