"I know, I'm more concerned about your little encounter with that dragon. And you told him your name! What if he's some nut job who's holding a hostage right now?"
"Come on, Sade, don't you think you're over exaggerating just a bit?"
"Well, I've been right about these things before."
Cecile sighed. "Look, why don't we just forget about that for now? We're wasting time, here. I want to us to make it down this mountain as soon as possible."
Sade frowned and looked at Katrina and Sam. Sam just shrugged, and Katrina said, "Hey, don't look at me. I have no part in this." It was Sade's turn to sigh.
"Fine." she said, although she didn't look to happy. Cecile, however, fluttered her wings in joy and took off to the sky, once again looking for a route.

After sliding(and flying) down a particularly steep slope, the quartet were now resting on a rather level patch of land. Cecile was roosting in a tree and looked a bit drowsy. Sam noticed first. "You sure you don't want to rest for a bit?" she asked. Cecile looked at Sam as if she had just noticed she was there.
"What? Oh, no... I'm fine, really."
"You know, you could always fly ahead and take a nap while we catch up with you."
"No, really, I-" she was interrupted by a huge yawn. "...Okay."

Cyra: *walks over to Expo and Axpo and smirks at them befoore hitting them across the head hard with the end of her tail and frowns and gives them an angry face* shut up both of you!! *turns around and sees wedger gone* alright that's it!!! *turns around and faces them making a fist with one of her paws and brings it up to thier faces growling* and besides im 24 your ages 9!

Wedger: *comes back with the sapphire behind his back* Heya Cyra *smiles*

Cyra: *turns around* oh hey wedger you ok?

Wedger: ya im fine....by the way i uh....got this for you *holds out the sapphire gem*

Cyra: oh dragon ancestors!! wedger it's beuatifull!! *takes it* where did you get it?!

Wedger: *decides to tell the truth instead of lying* the hermit

Cyra: he gave you this?

Wedger: uh no....me and hunter kind of took it without permission

Cyra: oh....*frowns and throws it off into the plains*

Wedger: H-Hey!!!

Cyra: *hits him behind the head and storms off*

Wedger: *sighs*

OOC: Uh no, while Cyra were talking to Expo and Axpo, Dio fell through a roof and had to take her hostage. Why? Secret. In case you didn't notice, I was in the village. You didn't need to follow anyone. In other words, you'll have to play the hostage. At least, until I move my claw away.

Also... "Some nutjob who's holding a hostage right now?" <_< Oh well, seems Dio will end up hated by everyone. Meh, doesn't interfere with what I have in mind.

Dio smiled as his consiciounce raged inside him. He narrowed the gap between his claw and the she-dragoness' throat to stop her frenzied thrashing. "There is actually. Other than the fact that if I let her go now, I'll either be killed or I'll be held prisoner. That isn't what I wanted. What I want are just answers. There is a... unusual landscape an hour or so's march from here. I want to know about it. What is it, why is it there, and how are you supposed to cross it?"
Dio wondered why he had gone along with this. And why wasn't he running. It was like a submerged part of him had taken control. It was... unusual.
"And one more thing, I want you to cross it." Dio looked directly at the matured dragon who had challenged him, "Wegger, isn't it? Actually, I don't care who you are. Do it, and your young love here will be released. Don't and, well..." Dio bent his legs and with incredible power he had no idea he had, leapt back through the village fence, and into the river.
When he surfaced he remember the dragoness, he looked to the side to see her gasping her air. He firmly hit her on the head. She slumped and he heaped her onto a passing log.

Meanwhile in Dio's mind...

Dio felt sick. He had almost no control over his body. An alter-ego? Perhaps, but where had it come from. He'd lived in perfect harmony with his mind before, why did he lose control now?
Dio felt like he had been locked in a room. He couldn't see anything. His contact with his phsyical being had been broken. He wasn't even going to die, just lie here for eternity.

But then again... If this was his mind, he could shape it however he wanted. If he wanted a key...

Dio awoke.

OOC: If wedger tries to get through the belt of fire, he'll have a similiar experience as Dio did earlier on. He'll hear death screams, but he can make it, it won't harm him, but it might scare him away.

OOC: Godmodding is when you start becoming invincible, and kill everyone. I think Dio is perfectly capable of knocking somebody out or taking them hostage. Unless of course Cyra just happens to have a thick skull (although saying she didn't even get K.O.ed by a hit to the head after all that trauma is probably godmodding anyway). RPs that limit player interaction to talking or fighting tend to end up rubbish. I am being aggresive but I think you'll get a chance for revenge at some point.

IC:
From the cave about a mile from the belt of fire, a dragon youngling struggles to drag a fully grown dragoness into a cave. Eventually he manages it. For a while he goes, then comes back, a fresh kill of a duck in his jaws. He leaves it for the dragoness, and then returns to the forest.

The youngling darts in his usual manner from tree to tree until he come upon a consideably larger and more confused dragon. He follows, ready to flee back into the canopy should suspicion be raised.

Wedger: *arrives at the belt of fire eventually and immeadiatly starts flying through it hearing the haunted voices and such he completely ingore it even though it does scare him but eventually he flies back out from too much fear* AHHHHHH!!!!!

Dio drops from the trees, and approaches the dragon, curious. "You heard them didn't you. The dying. The souls. They were all murdered. I... I know how you feel. But that was the past. Remember that. She's in a cave. East, If you hear eating that's probably her. I left her a duck. Good luck with her."
Dio turned to walk again into the belt.

OOC: That was fairly undramatic. Anyway, take your revenge if you want it.

OOC: Wewt, I just finished re-reading Harry Pothead and the Sorcerer's Crack.

IC: While everyone else was having their exciting adventures, Sam, Katrina, Cecile and Sade were still stuck in the mountains. They had made a fair amount of progress and even caught up with Cecile along the way. Now the group was sitting on a large boulder as Cecile flew overhead. "Is that the village you were talking about, Cecile?" asked Katrina as she pointed to Avalar. Cecile stop circling them and hovered in the air, squinting down at the valley below.
"Yup."
"Wow. I had no idea we'd made so much progress."
'Yup."
"So then, we just need to get down these slopes here and we'll be off!"
"Yup. Now toss me a mango or something."

Dio thinks hard. "Malefor's son?" He looked at the belt of fire, "Could that be it?" He shook his head and followed Wedger, silently, within the trees. He had to know more. This could solve all the questions put up recently.

Dio reached the cave to see only a well-chewed duck (Dio smiled at this. He had expected her to avoid it out of some dignity, she was smarter than he had thought) and a distraught dragon, who seemed to be desperately shouting at the hostage (he'd have to think of her as Cyra, Cyra, not hostage) Dio sidled up to the side of him.

"You know, no amount of gems will win her for you. You don't understand how she feels about you, or how you feel about her." Dio lay down, "You see, she sees you as too young. With all your constant passes at her, she gets more and more creeped out. She needs to see that you are older in the mind than in body. I could tell you how I suppose..." Dio smiled at what he was about to do. "What you need to do is fight Wedger. Not just walking up to him and going clawy. You need to make him look bad, then with Wedger out of the way and you his humble, solemn, not-quite-a-pacifist-but-almost defeater, will have the image you need to make Cyra fall for you.

"I would help you, but with what I've been doing, by the laws of Karma I should have been killed by now, so I'd better not." Dio rose, smiling at the young dragon's face. Dio pawed gently at the carcass of the duck. There wasn't anything but gristle left. Heh, Cyra was intriguing. Dio examined what he had just thought, then shook his head. Bad idea.

Dio was hungry, so he went out into the forest to hunt.

OOC: I am abusing everyone's characters, I am so aggresive like that. Remember people, Godmodding is unnecessary, mess with people's minds instead. That's why I shouldn't be Cyra. I would effectively use her to drive Wedger insane. Just for fun. So I won't have Cyra.

On another note, can someone please define godmodding. Set the limits. It's all very well saying no godmodding, but what are the limits of godmodding. Am I allowed to take hostages and knock people out or not? Am I allowed to kill if I fight well? And so on.
