Flare ignored Ornlu and Larka's comments, and answered Sage. "I believe they can live as long as they like as long as they have a host. That's what I had found out a while back when they first came."
"How did you find out?" Cory asked, a little confused.
"Well. While I was in hiding, making any escape possible as I could in Dragon City, I over heard some Life-Takers in mole hosts talking about all the Worlds they have been to. One said they had been to five differet planets in over 100 years. The other said that this is its second planet besides its home, which it had been living on for about 50 years. Hope that explains, Cory." Flare smirked.

"At least we are using our brains for thinking, not for mating." She hissed.

"And once we find that out, we should be able to use it against them. Becuase if you attack to a host by a certain means, then it would only make sense tht they themselves know how to use it. Now, it is just a matter of getting one."

"Knowing you, you'll club someone over the head and drag them back." Ornlu muttered quiet enough for Larka not to hear him.

Cory chuckled at Ornlu's remark. He had seen the phsyco dragon attack Ornlu like crazy.
"That's a brilliant idea!" Someone shouted. Cory turned his head towards the speaker and saw Vinna flying in. She had hear the last part that Ornlu had said. The black dragonfly flew up to the Guardians' side and repeated. "That's a brilliant idea! We should go and capture one and question it."

Vinna just smiled. The hope of capturing back her daughter hired hopes. "It's a brilliant plan! I mean, we could capture one and bring it back here to question. But we need the swiftest of the swift to do the job. Whaddya say?" She looked from on person to the other, hope gleaming in her eyes.
"Sounds goo to me." Flare shrugged.
"Same." Ivy said.
"Let's do it." Cory chuckled.

Flare looked at the new comers, but turned back to her group. "The swiftest I think that are here are Ivy, Ornlu, and Mabel." Ivy looked at her in shock. Her? One of the swiftest?
"T-thank you, Flare. But d-does eevryone agree?" Ivy looked around.
"I'm fine with it." Cory shrugged. Vinna nodded in agreement.
"Anyone object of these three?" Flare asked.

"Well. Now that over half the people here have voted yes, they're ago." Flare chuckled. "Those three please meet me in the Temple's training room in about 10 minutes. There, me and the other Guardians shall discuss the matter. Dismissed!" Flare smiled and walked out.
Ivy smiled. What an honor! Just like Mabel said. "Wow, Cory. I'm going on a mission. Heh. First time, too." Cory gave her a horrid look. "What?"
"It's a dangerous mission, though. I can't let you go out there and get yourself captured."

"Ornlu...." Larka said after a moment. Ornlu stopped and looked at her.

"What's wrong?" He asked, noting the tone of her voice. It was rare that she acted this...scared.

Larka just averted her gaze and ran at him giving Ornlu no time to react. However, what took him off guard was when she kissed him. His eyes widened, but nevertheless kissed her back.

"I love you, Ornlu..."

Mabel walked out of the room, followed by Sage, who beamed at her. "I'm so happy for you!" she exclaimed as soon as they exited the the room. Mabel smiled back.
"I'm really nervous... what if I mess up?"
"Don't be. Flare wouldn't have chosen you if she'd thought you'd do something rash."
"I suppose your right... Thanks."

Ornlu was pretty much dumbstruck. He had NOT seen this coming. Yet, it all made sense. She kept dragging him back no matter who he went after, yet he just thought of her as a sister looking out for him. However, he couldn't just say 'I love you too' right away.

If he did, he would be chained down and forced to be near her, preventing him from flirting. Which he enjoyed. Oh, what the hell...

"I love you too, Larka." He said after a minute in about three seconds. There, it was said and done.

She smacked him, "I vote we keep this hidden until we can live without fear of turning against each other." She explained when she did so.

"Does that mean I can continue going after-" he was cut off. "Taking that as a no...."

"Yep. And I don't want you to run around saying your are chained down, so that is the last thing I need: Everyone going 'ARE YOU TOGEATHER?!'" she grumbled. "I'll have to murder them if they do...."

Ornlu was scared.

(I feel like I rushed it, but meh.)

"Well... you better go and head off to see Flare with Ornlu and Mabel. She'll be waiting." Cory said, beginning to walk Ivy towards the Temple. Ivy followed.

Once they reached the Temple doors, Cory turned to her. "Good luck. I'll miss you." He lightly kissed her on the lips, then let her walk freely in. Ivy turned around and smiled.
"Love you." She called.
"Love you, too." Ivy turned back around and walked inside. I guess everyone's expressing their goodbyes.
