Re: Spyro and the black knight
Yeah it would probably be a good game if the developers spend a good amount of time working on it.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
Well, I been a Sonic the Hedgehog fanatic and Spyro the Dragon fanatic...it could be fun if they incoperate some fun, un-thought of elements into the game, maybe a co-op play, that makes the game harder because of the extra chracters playing. Or a team play...
If it was the original Spyro, doing it out, more people would buy it because of the two heroes with the same attidutes would be argueing alot kinda like the Jak and Daxter pair. But it would be rather odd...though as Sonic is all purpose as he can hold a gun, use a sword and move at incredible speeds. While Spyro's powers would, however be fairly limited, like look at him, he can't even stand up. Maybe some new, inventive breaths would even it up
But with, the TLOS spyro, it would be much harder to create a game of The Legend of Spyro manor without ruining the Sonic the Hedgehog gameplay, it would be a repeat of Spyro:Orange and Crash:Purple, which would *bleep* me off alot
My opininion is if they create a Spyro-Sonic crossover, I would buy it but there would be no full guarantee that it will be a sucess.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
LOL with the origanel spyro it would be like this.
Spyro: lets go this way.
sonic: no lets go this way.
Spyro: you idiot that way has the most traps.
Sonic: ah don't be such a cowared:
Spyro: HEY SHUT THE (censored) UP.
while the TLOS version would be like this
Spyro: the main bad guy is though here.
Cynder: if we don't get out of this alive spro I just want to say I love you.
Sonic: Hey love birds get a room.
LOL

Re: Spyro and the black knight
Nah it would go like this
Dr. Eggman: I'm going to you into scarp metal, sonic and little disgusting purple thing
Spyro: thats it, come closer fattie
Sonic: Leave this to me
Spyro: No way, i've got him!
Sonic: okay then lets have a race who can defeat eggman the fastest,
Spyro:No way
Sonic: why not?
Spyro: Because you would win!
I think it would be cool if Shadow and Omega were in the crossover, Shadow like rules, and Silver the hedgehog and....
oh oh and a suprise return from Mephilis the Dark! yaeh no that you would be cool and have sonic and little Ripto sort each out!

Re: Spyro and the black knight
I would like it if they would put time into it. I was excited when the Spyro and Crash crossover came out, but it ended up just being a total fail. Personally I thought Crash and Spyro mix more. I mean Sonic is really too uber compared to Spyro. Crash and Spyro have kinda been rivals since they were made. Crash does not move at 100 MPH, Crash does not have all kinds of weapons, Crash does not pretty much have unlimited HP as long as he collects rings... etc. Well then again I have not played the new crash games because I cannot stand what they did to the characters. I swear if they bring Dr. N. Tropy back in and he does not look at least somewhat similar to like he did in Twinsanity... *removed because there are some horrific thoughts here*.
Basically a Sonic and Spyro crossover probably would not be great. I would probably look at the reviews before even buying it. (Like how I did NOT do when I bought Spyro Orange and Crash Purple all in one package)
But if the Devvies did think the entire game through and balanced the characters, then it could be pretty enjoyable. Maybe even add in some of the Crash Twinsanity (Probably 2nd or 1st best game in the Travelers Tales era <3) moments of laughter and not make Spyro a gary-stu.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
I like Sonic and the Black Knight but a crossover with Sonic would be a bad idea. They just don't go. Sonic crosses over with Mario. Spyro crosses over with Crash. That's the way it goes.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
Cross-overs are possibly the WORST way to promote two different franchises. I have never played a good cross-over, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games was bad, really bad, there were very few good parts in that game that made it fun, but the rest was just plain horrible. Spyro and Crash...*bleep*! Won't say anymore than that. Name one good cross-over and I'll gladly check it out.
Please stop suggesting more fuggin' cross-overs, all the games that had cross-overs were good before they had a cross-over.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
I dunno. If they made it well it could be OK. But I don't like it when they mix game characters together, it sucks a bit.
And with Sonic, nah, not for me.
It'd dissapoint me if the game creators ended with something like that for Spyro.
Suppose that's my opinion, though.
I SHIP IT

I really can't see a hedgehog and a dragon working together, even if they were on the same side. xD But who knows, maybe hedgehogs like dragons!?

Re: Spyro and the black knight
A successful crossover? Super Smash Bros. anyone? How bout Kingdom Hearts? Although few and far between, good crossovers arn't impossable. I personally belive that the key factor in a crossover is not pounding the fact that it's a crossover, and a healthy lack of any scense of reality.
KH worked because Disney was there, but not pounded. There wern't those painful gimmics like
"we have to lite the torch to get though the large underground tube like structure, Spyro."
"I can light the torch with my fire breath, Sonic, but you have to run really fast through this maze before the torch goes out."
(you can see that happing to can't you? Don't lie, we all can see it!)
You meet Alice (in Wonderland, where else?) and you play though a parrellel of the storyline with a few of the origional cast included. Done. No beating the horse to death, or even beating it porst mordom. It is done.
You move on and meet Merlin, he teaches you magic and give you a portal to visit a stuffed bear. Done. It's not the character themselfvs that make the game, it's how those characters realisticly interact with each other (in the unrealistic environment)
And SSB would have been a hit fighting game no matter the skins they put on the toons, the gameplay is just that fun. (and since it's Nentindo, no-one has a voice actor, yay!)
All in all, a Spyro-Sonic crossover would not work (says the guy who laughed at the idea making warcraft an online game... oops on that one)

Re: Spyro and the black knight
I would like to see them in a game together, as long as it has characters from other games fighting each other for no reason except entertainment. *cough*Smash Bros*cough*
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: Spyro and the black knight
If Smash Bros ever goes over 4 third party characters, you can start worrying. If Nintendo buys Spyro, he will count as 1st party.
