Howdy Yall
though i spose technically i should say G'day im from the land down under and *bleep* proud to be, as some may know ive been posting as a guest since yesterday and ive decided that this community is nice enough for me to join in

my interests are many and varied but what first brought me here was spyro, i fell in love with the game when i first played it, the beautiful worlds so huge and bright and fun, the secret places you can find if youre clever enough (or use a cheat guide like me) and the freedom to go, not everywhere, but close enough to it

ill admit here and now, whilst i havnt played them, im not fond of the new spyro based solely on his appearance, i understand they wanted to change the genre and the story, but i dont know why they changed his looks, but then i guess it helps in a way, id like to think that perhaps this is a different spyro, not just the same one in a different story

anyway, hope im welcome here, if not... too late now MUAHAHAhAHAHAHA

Hello everyone who is a fan of the best gem-obsessed dragon to walk the Earth. I've played Spyro since he originally came out, and have played most of the Spyro games, with the exception of the handheld games.

I have to be honest, I really only enjoy the first three games that were made by Insomniac. Despite this, I still played the later games, including the "Legend of Spyro" series...which...well... To me, it just seemed like they were trying to turn Spyro into Lord of the Rings or something. I liked it when Spyro was light hearted and humorous with itself.

I don't hate all the current Spyro games, and I can CERTAINLY see the appeal it can have for some people who might like seeing Spyro take a serious tone. I'm just saying it's not my style, at least not when it comes to Spyro, but I won't get on anyone's case who like the more recent games. To each their own, I suppose.

I still replay the first three Spyro games occaisionally, which I have kept with me, even when other PS1 games lost their appeal to me
