Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Pilot is the name given for the first episode of a TV series, or a "test" episode to show the networks for viewing.
Typically, successful pilots serve as the first episode of the series and usually show 'how it all started'.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
A pilot is what the creators show to potential studios. Sometimes the pilot is never shown to the public officially, but the show goes on to be made. It's a representation of how a show is meant to be. Sometimes, like in the case of LOST, the pilot is the first episode.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Aren't the original Spyro games considered "cult classics" now?.
Anyway, I saw the first pilot and it was pretty good. I might put a few episodes on my iPod so I can watch it in privacy.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I think they really do just vaguely remember him.
Spyro is something lots of people enjoyed in there childhood and whenever I mention him to someone they ether remember him and are like "ohhh yeah I used to love him!" or just don't or hardly remember him at all. Liking Spyro is nothing to be embarrassed about, like liking Mario.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Just because TVTropes doesn't list it doesn't mean it isn't one...
I don't really know if the original Spyro games were cult classics. To be a cult classic, it would've been pretty obscure or unpopular at the time of its release, and maintained that small and dedicated following. The latter is true, but at the time of its release, almost all PS1 owners had it and loved it. Everybody who played games back then remembers Spyro.
MLP on the other hand would definitely be a cult classic if you ask me. Not too many people follow, watch, or even know of it. When most people hear "My Little Pony" they think of the old series and toys and scoff at its kiddy girliness. Those who do enjoy Friendship is Magic however are very dedicated and love the show.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I don't think anyone really even knows the new Spyro games exist, to be honest.

I'm not familiar with who Guile is (Final Fantasy?) but I agree, his/her/its theme does go with everything! The music almost sounds like it's meant to be that way.
