The fact that you guys are only counting with real numbers disgusts me. Why are neglecting imaginaries? I propose that from now on we're allowed to increase the previous number by any complex number with a modulus of 1 and an argument between 0 and pi/2.
For example, the following sequence would be perfectly acceptable:
1, 2, 2+i, 3+i, 3+2i, 3.5+(4+3^1/2)i/2 etc.
But, y'know, the only reason I'm posting this is to break the sequence once again... in a more elaborate way than before!
