Project Spyro (Stepmania Project)

Greetings, fellow Spyro fans!

I want to announce my very own Stepmania Spyro I Project! (I'll abbrieve it as PS)
Stepmania is a rythm game like Dance Dance Revolution. Still don't know what I mean, check out an example video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ92aJsXiGA
Now I am not rly as good as some other people at Stepmania, but I want to show you the simfiles mainly. If I've made all 42 (including Haunted Towers Secret and "surprise": the speedway song from YOTD! me finds a cool song. Heheh.

I'll show you them as soon as it is finished, and Spyro Forum Members (or anyone who comes here) can get my Platinum Pack. (normal "Silver" Pack doesn't contain the 2 bonus songs, platinum pack gives you all the stepmania data that I have as a bonus, including Theme, website and Noteskin) I grant you guys this all, because this is such a fantastic forum. No gems, no money, not winning a game and that kind of blahblahblah, no, it's just for Free!

Currently at 18/42, getting higher and higher as fast as possible!
PS will be the first Spyro Stepmania Project ever made or shown on youtube.

EDIT: Now I have one little problem here... If SR or any moderator would like to read this plz:
Stepmania is all about music as you know. The problem is that you HAVE TO attach the mp3 file together with the simfile (file with steps, rythm, statistics). I purely send this for SM (Stepmania for short, if you're thinking something else, stop thinking it) and not for the mp3 itsself. So, am I allowed to share my pack, since I've read the thread about music sharing? Is Spyro I/ Spyro YotD music copyrighted anyway, since it was released online (believe it was Copeland himself), or were you just talking about newer games? If I am not allowed to do so, I will not send any pack or simfile to anyone. Not even on Youtube (who should have banned my vids because Spyro is copyrighted), I promise. If I am allowed to do so, I would be very grateful for that. The choice is yours. Spent a lot of work on it, but yeah. It will stay only on youtube then, not further. (Admin/Mods tell me, As a fan of Spyro I will obey. Sounds strange...)

If the music was released by the author online for free, then you may link to it from the forum.

I really don't know where I got the mp3's from. A simple site, non-torrent, and I don't know if it was illegal or not. However, I found some RR tracks on Copeland's website. Still looking further in the hope of finding something to convince you. If there's someone who can "lock" mp3's, in the meaning of blocking it from copying or letting only one program make use of it (SM), that would help (don't know if such a file exists, tho. just trying ;P ) . I hope this rr tracks can help me and you to find out if he released it oficcially online. Also, Beemp3 and rapidshare (which I do not trust much) has released Spyro Tracks, but I still do not know if under premission of Copeland himself. I also found a virtual petition for letting Copeland make an OST here: http://www.petitiononline.com/spyrocd/petition.html which sounds like he hasn't released any cd after even 11 years(!) IMO: I think it is stupid that there isn't any OST that is released for Spyro 1 Music. Also, I want to know if spyro's soundtracks are on Youtube, Beemp3 and other sites, how can I manage to "spread" my simfiles? Should I ask Copeland himself or what?

If I'm not allowed to spread my simfiles, just confirm it then. The only thing I want to say is that lots of people do such things. The music is way too easy to obtain online, just as I did. Downloading Illegal stuff is allowed here, but I didn't even know it was illegal. But, allright, I'm a guy that does not break the copyright law of the best game in the world, so I won't even put links on youtube then.

So, it's your choice. Think about it. 11 years and still no ost is a little bit too long for me. I'm at song 13/42, so please tell me if I am allowed to do so or not. If not, sorry for wasting your time. (and also mine, but that's unimportant)

EDIT: gh.ffshrine.org also contains Spyro 1, 2 and 3 songs. Maybe that helps?

spyro stepmainia sounds cool i hope the mods ok it and i hope its got even the newest spyro music on it if so you have 1 here who will gladly pay with gems if ya change yur mind on not priceing XD

Yay! No, I'm not changing my mind of letting you guys pay. I like to work on making those files and that is my reward then wink

I am also planning (if I'm allowed of course) to go on to RR, YotD and maybe even DotD. For now, my 42 songs are a lot of work to do. (finished 14)

So, ya hear it there, mods! I have a fan already ;P

Of course keyboard! Who can make a good simfile for a dance mat? Keyboard is much nicer. You can try dance mat of course, but seems like a bad idea.

btw guys, I am not a guy who makes simfiles with very, very many difficult steps in it as you see in most SM videos. My simfiles are not too difficult, not too easy. My 1st post contains one of my simfiles. Expect PS to be like that.

As soon as I have premission, I'll send you all the SM link. You can download it there and try some non-PS songs already (like mario and dragonforce and ran ran ruu ;P ) to try out and to improve your finger movement. Trust me, you'll need it. Need a song to train? PM me.

EDIT: PS is increasing. My Fireworks Factory file does not work very properly (bad quality, beeps), so it will now change in the speedway song. Stay tuned for the ones that still do.

Euh.... Stepmania can be downloaded for every operating system. Mac, Linux or Windows... I'm creating this on Windows XP at the moment, but I'm short in time, so it takes delay atm. I'll promise it's finished before the end of this year. Of course, it will be much earlier... If I've got premission from SR it'll be in here asap.
