NOTE: This is in no way in opposition to dragongaz's Cynder Video on YouTube. He actually inspired me to make this one; when I saw his vid, I said 'Hey, I miss beating her up...' then went to work on it until here. Then while I was recording the cutscene and imagining the fight scene, I was playing different music in my mind, and how emo this part could get! Thanks for the idea, dragongaz. Heh.

Cynder Defeated - Nice Music - With SFX - No Damage - No Gem

Anyways, this video shows me defeating Cynder in Convexity. Intake no damage, destroy no gems, but used breath attacks. If only I noticed that No Breath sign on dragongaz's video I would've done one too, but that would take a lot of crap to finsh because it took me quite a while to do this. In spite of the music being there, the sound effects blended well! (the music in the game was turned off BTW so that I could input these other ones nicely)

BUT THAT'S NOT WHY I'M SO INTIMIDATED WHEN MAKING THIS VIDEO! I was very intimidated because of the music I put in... just hear it while watching! It was so perfect to the ears and emotions... Ah! Darn, why am I becoming satisfied with myself?! I shouldn't be!

Q: If you say no damage, then why the heck did you get hit by Fire Bombs 2 times at the last part?!
A: Because there's a stupid glitch left in the game; when Ignitus talks, you go slow-mo while Cynder is still in 100% speed, rendering you very vulnerable, and it just so happened I was within range.

Music used:

1st - Screaming Souls (Devil May Cry 3)
2nd - Seeds of Love - Instrumental (Devil May Cry 1)

Oh, and incase some people don't know, I don't use a camera. I use a DVD Recorder to record these, then I just rip them off using a special freeware program here, then use Windows Movie Maker to make it .wmv, or put a lot of edits.

Being such a data man, I found another glitch that is definitely helpful to a lot of players. If you noticed, the first Earth Shot fury I did inflicted insane damage to Cynder's life bar. But if you try that, you'll see that you only get to half of her life bar if you deplete your mana. So what did I do? For some odd reason, I found a small spot in Cynder that enables a shot to hit 2 TIMES, doing very good damage. If I noticed (thanks Sparx!), there were 2 hit spots that Cynder has with her; one on her head, and one on the rest of her body. This is quite similar to the DMC1 trick of the 2 hit Meteor on Griffon and the 2 hit Dragon on Mundus. This inspires me to find out if it's possible to take out Cynder's first life bar with full Earth Shots because of all double hits; the one in this video shows the double hits only when Spyro was targetting the head.

Å½ Â· o_O Not harder, just takes longer. If you'll see, I can take out one HP bar of hers without breath attacks (the 2nd HP bar in that vid). I used my D.A.E. on the first fight to find that no damage spot and infinitely get her in a loop in such a way that she will NEVER hit me, and just had to adjust my timing to that jump attack that she does.

the jump attack (aka the shockwave attack) is annoying as heck especially if you time your attack wrong then your kinda screwed but decent video

yes i saw it several times i know how to avoid getting hit by the attack but sometimes its the timing that counts
meaning you could jump hit her a couple of times and she jumps just after you attack and presto you've taken a hit basically the fight involves timing and concentration

Å½ Â· But it can get irritating especially if you've been working on it for about 2 hours already.... fortunately I was able to do it in 30 minutes. Taken 15 minutes of the time on the Cynder's Lair fight to analyze how I'll do this, then I did the convexity fight.

But you know what my problem is right now? I need to get back to that part of the storyline...! T_T_T_T_T Instantly (yes, INSTANTLY) after you defeat Cynder with the Dragona fury and the FMV starts where Cynder is transforming back to normal, the auto-save function will save you BACK AT THE START OF THE SWAMP, which was irritating because I reset the PS2 at that time and I was supposed to record the cutscene as well...! *FAILS* T_T_T_T

has the ps2 version got the 3 way save function *save 3 different games* is yes then save in a different column then you dont have to worry about going through thr game again ^_^

Å½ Â· I need to start a new game to save in a different slot. The slot you choose to save on a game will always save there. I'm starting a new game right now and I will make it get stuck in the Convexity so that I can go to it at anytime, but that would take a lot of pain considering that I have no powerups tongue don't worry, I don't need the furies at all. I already have my sequence of 'to-learn' abilities.

thats a good thing then well im working on a video of me going through ANB without breath and without getting hit *bleep* its going to take ages but heck its something to do eh

Å½ Â· That's going to be like crossing the wall of 1%, man. The no hit challenge of mine needed major use of Bombs to actually pull of the whole game.

wel i love my challenges heh like my halo 2 challenge i tried to go through at least one level (on legendary difficulty) without getting hit i managed it but with great difficulty tongue thats why i wanna try it on spyro

Å½ Â· *bleep*, try it on DMC1 DMD first! Spyro can't move that fast! 3 of the bugs could get you cornered and you'll get hit! And you'll have to restart from almost the beginning after that!

heh i will try do complete doom 3 without getting hit on nightmare mode instead more of a challenge and if i can manage that then spyro shouldnt be a problem tongue
