Female dragons?
How comes there were no female dragons in this game? Maybe Gnasty just wasn't evil enough to trap the females? Or maybe they live far away and the two genders only come together to mate? And then when the year of the dragon comes the fairies bring the eggs they've laid?

Re: Female dragons?
Probably because they found male dragons to be wiser, and symbolize more. Or, just a lack of female voicing people who would volunteer for teh game.

Re: Female dragons?
Who says Dragons are animals? Who says there are famale Dragons? I mean, it's 1998, and they did not have as much knowledge of Dragons as they have now.

Re: Female dragons?
I used to wonder the same thing, but according to the third game there are female dragons. I always thought the one in the Dream Weavers home near the gun was fairly female-like for some odd reason. And why are there no male fairies for that matter?

Re: Female dragons?
Eggs are delivered by fairies every 12 years. The celibacy theory seems to fit.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: Female dragons?
It does sound wise to have the female dragons hidden away in case of some catastrophe. That way they can ensure their continued existence.
I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Female dragons?
Haha, I think it's funny that people are saying it was 1998 and people didn't know as much about dragons as they do now.
HELLO, they're dragons, they aren't even real! People can make anything up about dragons. A dragon can be any way somebody wants them to be, because there is no specifications, because they aren't even real!

Not necessarily. There's a believe that dragons are or could be real. The only limitation hindering us from dragons is the fact that no animal on earth, nor fossil has found any skeletal remains of a creature with more than 4 limbs. This doesn't rule out the possibility for a wyvern or serpent type dragon though.
There are also creatures that give off methane gas through their bodies, so even breathing fire isn't totally impossible. All you need for fire is fuel, oxygen, and a spark. And since animals can manipulate their breathing valves to make grunts and various animal sounds, it is definitely possible a caliced inert could generate a spark.
And don't forget that dragons are 'mythilogical' in several cultures that for the longest times remained isolated from each other, but they all have this physical apearance of a fire breathing lizard that sometimes has wings.
But the argument is stupid. I once had an argument with someone about Spike from MLP not being a dragon cuz he didn't have wings...
There are different kinds of dragons and they all have very specific descriptions.

Re: Female dragons?
I think somebody's taking this a bit too seriously.
I like the original Spyro trilogy.
I am currently ranking the 74 main levels from it.. which you probably already know if you're reading this, since my ranking thread is basically the only place I'm posting.
