Both Old and New Fans

This topic is for fans who like BOTH the old and the new Spyro, who don't take part in either side of the series trying to compare which Spyro is better than the other in silly debates, like determining that the old Spyro is better than the new Spyro, or the new Spyro is better than the old Spyro. I know I'm not the only one here who likes both of them.

Anyone here who thinks that one part of the Spyro series is better or superior than the other, then this isn't the right topic for you.

Tell your opinions to other fans, who like both Spyros, about how you like both sides of the series, despite the sudden changes in the franchise.

In my opinion, I like the Old Spyro series for its originality, its humor, the loveable characters, and the worlds I explored through the old games. I like the new Spyro games for its story trilogy that started the universe, its re-introduction of few of the characters, Spyro's origin, and its newly added characters.

I Actually liked both of them but for completly diffrent reasons

Old spyro:Great charcters but not enough Development,Great Exploration,good Storyline,

New Spyro:Great storyline but they don't really explain things fully,Great charcters,Way too liner and short

I like them very much both.

A fuse would be a intersting idea provided we kept the two spyro's as thier own guys..heck rename TLOS as something else etc.

Technically speaking, I'm more of an old fan. That's not through dislike of the new series though, it's down purely to the fact that I haven't played through much of LoS. A game where there's a 'merger of mythos', so to speak, would certainly interest me.

I liked both but I prefer the old ones alot more.The old ones sort of had more difficulty to them and generally just lasted longer..Had nice biggish levels and the little mini game thingies and you could go wherever you want,whenever you want.The new games now..When I first played ANB I LOVED it.Then one week after I got it,I was battling Cynder.I defeated her.Next thing I know,the game's done! Meh..I thought I'd have to defeat Malefor and stuff but anyways.. tongue
Basically,my only problem with the new series is that they did last long and you couldn't go back to the other levels without finishing the game all over,or in the case of DotD,just go to the level as easily as in the old games (through portals or something).But generally I really liked the new series.

I, too, like all of the Spyro characters. They are all different in a way
[Classic Spyro, ANB and TEN Spyro, DotD Spyro].

One thing I like about the classic Spyro is that he doesn't talk. Well, he
doesn't talk much, since I heard him say somthing in Year of the Dragon
not too long ago [I was both shocked and stunned].

I like the newest Spyro [DotD] because he is stubborn and will not give up
th fight. But he tends to fist-fight a bit too much. Dragons are more for
chewing up their enemy while cooking them with fire.

ANB Spyro - 100%
TEN Spyro - 100%
DotD Spyro - 0%

That makes you "66.6 repeated" % fan of the new Spyro.

I am an old Spyro fan. I grew up with those games. We got Spyro the Dragon before I ever even started Kindergarten... I think I was only 4 when I first played it, and it is the best game I have ever played. Once my sister's an I beat Gnasty Gnorc, we got Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. Once we beat that game, we got Spyro: YOTD. And to this date, they're 3 of my favorite games ever. I rented one of the LoS games, and I sadly found myself unable to actually get into it. I was rather bored by it, to be honest.

NP i like the first 2 of TLOS, spyro felt powerfull and you actually felt you were doing harm to the bad guys but in DOTD the attacks felt bland and week.
