Re: What we know about this game
Whut? I love Shadow Legacy!
Oh I do too. It's just tends to get neglected from the love of the other games. I can count on one hand people I know that have DS. And none of them have jobs that helped them earn the money to buy it.
There are games that are marketed towards kids with their own money and games that are marketed towards kids that have parents that have money. And they're completely different. Usually, the mature games have deeper storylines and more stunning gameplay. Christmas present video games usually come in the form a cartoon.
And just to note: I bet some parents refused to let their child play Shadow Legacy once they found out you cast spells!

Re: What we know about this game
Wow, a new Spyro game! The idea of it being released on DS/Wii only leads me to think that this game could be a smaller, scaled down version like Shadow Legacy. Regardless, I'll still go out and buy it because Activision have been keeping us in the dark, especially after the whole "is there a film", "whats the release date" problem we faced before hand. It is in the right mind for Activision to keep this under cover because it's what everyone does for a long time, but I wish that they would be more open to comment.

Re: What we know about this game
Looks like they took down the official Spyro website. The pages are still on the Activision website, but I can't find the flash-based site. What the heck is going on?

They did? I'm still able to access it.
Can you get to the themed one with the dragon in the loading screen? or the generic Activision one? I can get to the generic one, but not the themed one.
Maybe it's just something on my end.

Re: What we know about this game
Well, one site is listing Spyro's Kingdom as TBA 2011...... And it also seems to be up to date with other Activision releases too. Let's hope so?

Re: What we know about this game
What site is that, RadSpyro? If you find something that's related to the next game, don't forget the name of the site you saw it at. That way fans will know wat you're talking about.
Sure thing!

Go forward to the next page. There's the 2 games LXShadow was talking about.
Hm..... I hope this isn't going to be some online game where you have to pay all the time >_>

Re: What we know about this game
How come it doesn't list the game for DS?
Maybe because this site doesn't care for hand held releases??
I wonder if it is online, if they would link the DS and Wii versions. Of course, if the games gets released on other consoles, it would make sense that those consoles would have to have their own gaming network. I wonder what kind of financial sacrifices a gaming company has to make to establish something like that, let alone the risk of it going flat moments after its release--something that plagued dozens of PS2 titles that aspired to go online.

Re: What we know about this game
According to the spreadsheet, Spyro's Kingdom wasn't listed to be online.
I know, I'm just still optimistic on "kingdom" implying some sort of network.

I don't know. Sandbox sounds fun. But allowing Spyro's franchise being intertwined with all the fan fiction that is out there is kind of scary. The game could evolve into something it was never intended to be.

Before TLOS early fanfiction had spyro with guns and cloths etc, now it's stable talking dragon adventure land, also to quote that TLOS is like a sandbox OOC

Re: What we know about this game
Adventure Packs are mini expansions which include new story content along with new villains and rewards.
Funny how an expansion pack is reported for a game we aren't 100% sure even exists yet.
EDIT: although, if it's money Activision is trying to make, making the fans buy two $40 discs could make them more money than one $60 disc

Yes,but those are just fanfictions...not actual stuff that was put in-game....
How is TLoS a sandbox game( now Im asuming you mean 'sandbox' as in free-roam,nonlinear game, cus that's what sandbox means...if you meant something else, then could you plz explain it a bit more)?
It's so linear,it basicaly has no free-roam...even DoTD (which is a bit more free-roam than TEN and ANB) has a lot of restrains, invisible walls, and you only get to run around in that level until you've completed the given objective, then the cutscene happens, and then it moves you to another area, and you can't get back to the previous one by foot/flying if you want to...
sorry for going off-topic
