I thing I figure out something
If this game (according to the title) isn't a legendary game and it's far away from the original games.
If the original users and the legendary users dislike this new game (when it comes out), then this will turn into a 3-way war.

Regardless of whether or not the new game is related to any of the past events, I don't think there will be too much uprall about the game as long as it's good and considering the amount of time we've had to wait for information on a new game!

They said they wouldn't release anything from the "TLOS" concept anymore. But they'd still keep the storyline only.

Re: I thing I figure out something
I have to go along with Aura 24... It would be hard to abandon a fresh story line and go to an old one where the story progression is broken-up so much by games that were popular and then suddenly became un-popular. Many people would be confused, and some my not have even known about the newer regular series Spyro games
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

Exactly what I was thinking. This "legend" storyline is still fresh, and if the originals come back, this will lead to a whole lot of confusion.
So, legend or not, the Kingdom game will keep the storyline going from the end of DotD.

We can't know which direction are they going with yet...there's barely any info on the game...no teasers, pictures absolutely nothing except for some game spreadsheets...
Well, tbh when TLoS was first introduced people were also very confused...
so I think they can still bring back the original style...cus people would recognise it...and it would be a lot of hype to see something(a style of gameplay specific for that franchise or just the franchise)
return after a lot of years (Duke Nukem Forever anyone? Donkey kong country returns, etc)
they are still overall a lot more popular than the legend games, including reviews and ofc sales...
And if done well,it would bring them a lot of cash...
