*throws up* My GAWD! He is an abomination! or Someone just beat him horribly with an ugly stick, broke that, and moved to the fugly rod! I think this is a disgrace! having to buy TOYS to play the game! The Graphics look like WoW and it doesnt seem like it will even be like any spyro game.

MY dear friends... I believe this is the end of the world.... Of spyro. This game MAY just be the spike that is plunged into the heart of the franchise to kill it and put it out of its misery. This is already making Dawn of the dragon look like an amazing game in comparison! Im just... speechless.

Lol, the toy thing seems so gimmicky....
...Which is to be expected, considering the target age range is 6 to 12.

What I find interesting is the "Skylanders" prefix. It makes it sound like they'll be doing more of these Skylanders things with other franchises.

I think this topic should be moved into the Spyro General section - that way, more people can see this. And I suggest to rename the title as "Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure Announced".

Activision can say what they want, but the articles do say that his character is based on the old Spyro universe.

Which means more mischievous attitude and no Cynder.

But the people that want that still arent happy.  Give it a chance, guys!!

I think what they meant was that the concept of the character Spyro was originally based on the Playstation games from the 90s (because that's what the average person knows Spyro as), not that they're continuing that universe necessarily.

god, he looks so freakin' ugly now. And he has such a mean expression. His arms looked really screwed up and the graphics are god awful as well. I'll probably still play it... but.. I am disappoint.

IGN had the screenshots for the game labeled "PS3," so I guess that's proof enough that it'll be available for PS3, right?

What I'm wondering is how it's going to work for the DS. The portal thingy would just be a wireless signal, maybe.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a handheld by making it less portable.

Spyro has his horn charge back? And his headbash? YAY! 

But seriously, I have a problem with Spyro's design. Odds are, Activision will change it if 100% of the Spyro fanbase are against it.

And Spyro should swim and fly as well.

EDIT: Okay, he could fly after an upgrade. But what about swimming? He didn't swim in water since A Hero's Tail!
