Swimming in Skylanders?

With the water levels in Skylanders, do you we can swim in the water? I know some of the characters won't be able to, but I know Spyro and few of the other characters can swim it too.

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

Spyro should swim, Aura24. He hasn't done so since AHT and LOS did not have underwater levels. sad

I'm a secret duck who lives in the glitchy but nice Honey Marshes. My day to day job is to spy on the blue guys so they won't get up to much mischief.

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

They have Gill Grunt, Spyro, and probably a few others they can use to have them swim underwater. They would be cool. :3

Am I the only one who hopes that they never have to go into water areas?

I still have nightmares from OoT

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

The only way swimming will be in the game is if it is required for the completion of a level or task.  Any time Spyro has ever been able to swim, he kind of has to.

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

All those times I drowned to death in Spyro The Dragon, why didn't he float! He has to!

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

I'm betting if you can swim...

1. It won't be mandatory. (Some characters are fire-type.)
2. You won't be able to dive underwater.

As in, you'll just swim on the surface like in the shallow areas in Spyro 2 and 3. Having stuff underwater wouldn't be fair to non-swimming characters unless there was some secret location for fire-characters only to balance it out.

[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/5597209/spashthebandragon] I've got fanfics for Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Frozen, and Spectacular Spider-Man. Err, separately, I mean. Not some weird crossover thing. Those are all separate fanfics.

They say that you can use any character at any time, but I bet they are leaving out situations that allow some characters to do something others can't.  On the contrary, it would makes sense if the three starter pack characters are able to do all of the things required for game completion, and anything after that is gravy.  Just my guess, though.

Lol, let's just hope that they don't simply drown like Altair did in his game. xD

He has to be a better swimmer than Nier himself.

Re: Swimming in Skylanders?

There's also a big fish-like monster leaping out of the water seen in the teaser trailer, destroying a vessel.
