Megarom's Preview of Skylanders
A Skylanders preview was hosted by a South African game distributor, Megarom, in a showcase, with Spyro being the character shown on the Wii version of the game:
http://www.el33tonline.com/past_article … __preview/
"During a recent showcase presentation event held by South African game distributor Megarom, attendees were treated to a demonstration of the Wii version of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and we were able to glimpse the game’s colourful world and characters, snippets of gameplay and witness a live demonstration of its innovative use of physical action figures in-game. More on this a little later.
Like any action adventure game starring a headline character, in Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure you take control of Spyro the Dragon, and after a personality-filled, fully voiced introduction explaining to you, the player, what your next objective is in this part of the Skylanders world (suspended in the sky with puffy white clouds surrounding the structures and ‘land’ you traverse), you’re able to move Spyro around and breathe fire (like all good dragons can).
There are naturally enemies to flame, platforms to jump onto, levels to explore, obstacles to navigate and puzzles to solve, all while viewing the action from a roving third-person, top-down perspective.
The visuals of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure are immediately striking, and as this demonstration was running on the Wii, immediate comparisons could be made to the graphical richness of a game like Super Mario Galaxy – the world is vibrant with colour, detail and animation. The environment is destructible (in limited ways that make sense) and although the levels follow a more linear progression path, the scenery seems very ‘large-scale’ as it stretches out into the distance, effectively instilling the adventure with an epic feeling.
Water flows beautifully, plants sway, particle and environment effects burst and flitter through the levels, shadows are in place and small touches are in abundance. The world of Skylanders is impressive indeed (dare I say it), especially for the Wii."

The guy who wrote that is obviously on Activision's payroll.

Could you at least attempt to discuss something relevant to the topic at hand please rather then useless gibberish?

@Ziamber - Don't spam, please.
@Aura24 - Just reporting and ignoring spam will do next time. Responding to it just derails the thread even more. Thanks.

Re: Megarom's Preview of Skylanders
So, a positive report. Graphically advanced, and a challenger to pokémon, it says. But otherwise, not much there that we don't already know. Is there any footage of the demo they showed?

Re: Megarom's Preview of Skylanders
I don't see how this is any different from all those other reviews. I'm still waiting for new info on the game...
[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/5597209/spashthebandragon] I've got fanfics for Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Frozen, and Spectacular Spider-Man. Err, separately, I mean. Not some weird crossover thing. Those are all separate fanfics.

Re: Megarom's Preview of Skylanders
Actually, Splash, they describe what's possibly the introduction in the game.
The introduction to the demo, at least. Hopefully this game will have cutscenes that explain the story. (Even if it's just an opening/ending thing like in the first game.)
But other than that, not much new. Although at least it's gotten good reviews... (Huh, that kinda rhymed... )

Re: Megarom's Preview of Skylanders
I emailed Megarom, and they said once the Skylanders video is available to them, they will post the video up on their youtube and facebook.
Awesometastic. Here's hoping it's good. *crosses fingers*
