Finally, voice acting! I love it! I don't know why anyone would complain about this game, it's already kicking Legend of Spyro's butt from where I'm standing!

Well given the whiny Youtube comments, I see how you could've gotten confused...

And FYI, I believe those are coins. Maybe. I'd have to rewatch the trailers. Is it possible you collect rings AND coins?

I think they are rings, but there are holes in some coins IRL.

I am disappointed that they made Spyro grunt instead of talk...

But the music is amazing and the abilities look really cool!

May have to buy all the toys...

Spyro definitely sounded like he will talk in this game though. The only vocals we hear of him so far is when he enters the game.

He won’t, none of the other characters do and at the beginning of the trailer he just grunts and spews out gibberish.

The trailers look great! Although, I don't exactly see an HUD which shows your health and treasure count. Maybe they'll add that later?

But Spyro never talked during gameplay before, it was only in the cutscenes and side dialogs that we hear his voice. The only chance that Spyro doesn't have a voice is if they decided to make it like Naughty Dog made Jak in Jak and Daxter: No voice, but grunts and action sounds.

Until we see a convincing cutscene from this game, we wont know. And since this game has a "you must save the characters" kind of play to it, it'll be interesting if there is any significant cutscene at all...

But I'm just speculating. The trailers look great. A+ for music.

Maybe it's a Pokedex-like mechanic, and you get points just by hosting a friend's game.

We don't have enough info to know for sure, though. My money's on he will talk, but I could be wrong. At any rate, my expectations for this game have definitely raised after seeing this new information. The developers seem to be going the extra mile to make this a decent game.

And as for people expressing negative opinions of this game (most of them making some misguided metaphor to anal *bleep*, if I recall), I have only this to say:

Disliking a video game is fine, but please don't be obnoxius about it *coughcough*Swaffy*coughcough*. That only detracts from the enjoyment those who do like it. Not to mention, if the majority of people complaining about this game are immature, I won't take the handful of mature dislikers as seriously.

of course the music's great, they're using it in a trailer to get the word out about something. i liked it too, but we don't know it'll be used in the game, so i purposely turned it off while watching them, since it's most likely put in to sensationalize the action. kind of like how they used "Thunderstruck" in the original Commercial Whatever Thing they released - is the trailer still as exciting without the theater music?

i feel like i needed to point that out.
now, as for the content itself, it looks like it would be more entertaining to its target age group. (SpyroForum says: "duh.") but something i can't really explain* just gives me the feeling this is going to be... okay, but still kind of over-the-top with the "kiddie" influence, like, even more than the original Spyros were. meaning, i can't really imagine too many older fans liking this.

* remember this when you question my post.

oh yeah, but i still loathe Trigger Happy.

I don't know about any of you, but I think I would would be able to take the characters a lot more seriously if they weren't named things like "Trigger Happy" and "Stealth Elf." Is it so hard to come up with actual names? Or are these species names or what?

The gameplay looks fine and actually kind of fun, but still, not going to be spending that much money on what looks to be a generic platformer.

Spyro, Trigger Happy, and Gill Grunt are also the toys that will be in the Starter Pack of Skylanders; they possibly made these trailers to symbolize that.

This game has already surpassed my expectations.

I don't care at all for the toy gimmick (I'd prefer characters as paid DLC rather than toys, unlockable from the game's menu), but c'mon. You can't tell me that the game looks bad.

I'm a little confused on how many different versions will be sold. At first, we were rumoring a Starter Pack, and an Adventure Pack. On amazon, the pre-sales are being advertised as "Adventure Starter Pack".
