New Turret Gameplay Action
Around 4:34, an enemy pirate ship appears in an area in Leviathan Lagoon. The player will be assisted by a character who is the same species as Gill Grunt in taking it down.

You know at first I thought this game looked average, but by now I think it's going to be up there as one of the greatest Spyro games ever. That gameplay looked MUCH more fun than I was expecting, plus you can rename characters like I'd wanted!
(Maybe that's why they have such mediocre names like "Chop Chop" and "Stump Smash." So you can change them yourself.)

I am hoping the same thing, but it may be wishful thinking. It would make sense though, if kids swamp toys in and out like Activision invisions. Naming one of the flying creatures Rainbow Dash would be the first thing I'd rename.

It's pretty much confirmed that you can rename characters. The Prism Break the guy in the video was playing as was renamed Erupter. Plus he actually said you can rename characters, so it's not really wishful thinking anymore.

It would be pretty frustrating if you bought a Stealth Elf character that had a different character's chip in it.

Is it just me or does the gameplay look a lot like Insomniac's Ratchet & Clank games? 
Man, my wishes for "Spyro's Kingdom" are actually coming true. 
I'm a secret duck who lives in the glitchy but nice Honey Marshes. My day to day job is to spy on the blue guys so they won't get up to much mischief.

And the red enemies that steal keys and important items in this game reminds me of the Egg Thieves from the Classic Spyro.

I'd have to rewatch the video, but I am reasonably certain that when giving off a list of things the toy would remember when switching from a Wii to Xbox console, one of them was "renames."
EDIT: AHA! I'm not going crazy! Watch the video at 1:30. He says something like "The toy will remember [...] if you rename your character, give it a hat..."

The gameplay looks good, but I'm very disappointed that not one of these gameplay demonstrations have actually featured Spyro (the multiplayer demo doesn't count).

There will probably be more of gameplay of him in the future, since he's the title character. We just didn't see any footage of people playing as him in E3 at the time.

I can't wait to see Spyro in action then! The gameplay looks awesome. I like the game even more! And changing characters names simply awe struck I am right now!
