Spyro's Biography in Skylanders Mentions events from The LoS series!

Spyro hails from a rare line of purple dragons that come every 10 generations. He is from the Dragon realms. It’s been said that the Scrolls of the Ancients mention Spyro prominently – the old Portal Masters having chronicled his many exciting adventures and heroic deeds. Finally, it was Master Eon himself who reached out and invited him to join the Skylanders. From then on, evil faced a new enemy – and the Skylanders gained a valued ally.

Skylanders is a seperate continuity that uses elements from both the Classic and Legend series.

All three series are different continuities. Skylanders is a weird rehash, but still a seperate continuity. Probably all came from time shenanigans.

Alternate dimensions like in Chrono Cross. Cept less convulatted.

Unfortunately, some fans are convinced thata Skylanders is a direct sequel to the LoS, since Spyro and Cynder have backstory elements like their LoS counterparts.

They could be right, I'm just making up some fanon. It doesn't matter, anyway. Having story elements from TLoS can't impact that much on Skylanders. You can go through an entire game without touching Spyro or Cynder, right?

even i am in the process of making a fanfic that combines the end of DotD with Skylanders. But the argument is stupid. Skylanders is a spinoff with its own continuity. I thought we covered that.

oh lawd and I thought it could'nt get any worse. but no they add the WORST villen in history into it.

It's actually fairly easy to squeeze in a "return of malefor" story in there somewhere to make the pieces fit.
