Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

Anyone else think this was way to early for the sequel to be revealed? Yes, I am looking foward to this game very much, but I was not expecting this game to come out this early, I was expecting at least another year and a half for Skylanders Giants to be revealed.

I'm trying to start some Spyro Projects, check my guestbook for details, please throw some ideas to me so I can do as best as I can for the fandom. ^^

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

The earlier they release the sequel, the earlier they might start working on a different Spyro game - so i'm happy about it  roll

Even in the darkest of times, there is always hope...

...that Activision decides to make profit with selling the rights for Spyro to someone who is no moneybag.

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

It looks like Skylanders has been really successful in terms of sales, so I doubt they're going to just drop it.

I thought it seemed a little too early to be releasing a new one, too, but maybe they were already working on this one at the same time as the current one. Hopefully for the fans they're not releasing it prematurely or it'll end up being full of glitches like Enter the Dragonfly.

That reminds me, since this is confirmed we're going to need a new section for it....

I don't think we do need a new section as this is'nt realy a spyro related gme if he just has a cameo in it....

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

That's true.... There are bound to be new threads about it popping up pretty frequently, though. Guess we could just put them in the Skylanders section we already have.

Yeah, from the looks of the trailer, it looks like 'Spyro' has been taking out of the title.  So, there really is no need for a new section. >.>

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

heh, remember when people thought they put Spyro into Skylanders just to make a rather average idea more acceptable, and more easily popularized?

what a silly idea that was.

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

Well, it might have worked. It sold well. Maybe Spyro's name contributed to the first game's success, and they just don't think they need it for future Skylanders games anymore.

But really, shouldn't people who don't like the game be happy that Spyro's not being used in the title anymore? All anyone (including me) did before it came out was complain that he was in it.

lol Some fans noticed Spyro's name not being in the title, and after months of complaining about it and with the name finally being out of the title, some fans are complaining about it being gone.

Re: Skylanders:Giants Too Early?

To be fair, it might not be the same individuals complaining about that, but looking at the fanbase's reaction as a collective, it's funny how we're never satisfied with anything. XD Developers must hate us.

How can you complain a game being too big?  In fact, I wouldn't even mined if Spyro 3 was six times as long (that being around 180 levels & 24 bosses, but hey, a man can dream, can't he?)

I want a Spyro game so big, it takes up 3 disks.

Well with the 360 that's no problem. With the PS3 however we get the entire game in one Blu-ray disc.

Too early yes, but considering the IP holder. Not in the least bit surprised.

It's so early that a giant itself smashed me into the ground and roared.

But really I was kinda suprised

I know what BD-ROMs are capable of.
