Collect As few Gems As Possible Contest

This contest was created by Nobololol. I am posting it because the permissions of this section are mod locked. This sounds like it will be a fun chance to dust off the original Spyro games again if you haven't played them in a while.

The contest length is not yet determined, but it will probably run for 1-2 months.

Here are the rules:

Player tries to complete one the original 3 Spyro game collecting as less gems as possible. Home worlds counts automaticly zero and after you have completed a level you write down the amount of gems you collected. You may collect more gems from levels you already finished (they will not count) if you need gems for moneybags. You have to collect all the other collectables (dragons, orbs, dragon eggs). If possible take a screenshot after every level from atlas (or what it was). And NO cheating.

Please post here to let Nobololol know if you will participate.

That's a cool idea, I'll certainly give it a go. In fact, I think I'll make YouTube videos of it- it sounds like fun!

This sounds like fun. I'll definitely be trying it. Maybe record some for the new YouTube channel.

So you can collect as many gems as you want in the homeworlds and it won't count against you, right?

Home Worlds And Flying levels Counts as zero.

Should we take the gem count after we get all other collectables in that level? I think we should because otherwise collecting all other collectables is no sense.

Just in case if someone has started counting the gems without all collectables we could make other high scores for those people.

Yea. You have to complete them but they count as zero gems.

Yes. When you have collected all collectables (orbs or eggs) level is marked as finished and you write down the amount of gems in that moment when you have gone through the portal to home world or you're at the end of the level (in front of portal)

Yes. When you have collected collected all collectables in that level and you have been at the end of the level (near the portal to home world) you may collect more gems without those gems being counted.

By the way I started Spyro Gateway To Glimmer and this is harder than you might think it is.

I tried it long time ago in Spyro 3 and I can confirm it is difficult (but I had differend rules).
I think I will start on friday or saturday, but I just have to decide which game to choose.

I think it will take me some time until I finish the game (I selected Spyro 2). I move slowly so I can get as less gems as possible wink
