What if Cynder was in this game?

I mean, the only other dragons Spyro's size were Ember and Flame. Since Cynder is now well respected, I'm just wondering what would have happened if Cynder existed in this game.

I'm thinking it could be one of these:
- Cynder VS Ember (for some random parts of the game)
- Cynder is a boss that becomes your part-time ally when you defeat her.
- Cynder is one of those annoying allies, but one of the less annoying characters in general and not lovestruck like Ember.
- Cynder can be a second player.
- Malefor-focused cliffhanger story, even though the series would be focused as a platformer.

I don't know, so much can happen!

In defense of this game, it wasn't meant to be a character-driven story about a bunch of different young dragons. That's why there were only two that didn't have much personality: they were background characters. I guess you could force Cynder into the story if you wanted to, but she'd have to be the same way, and it would be pointless to do that just for the sake of it.

The Cynder-vs-Ember thing was pretty overdone by the fans, as well. I was sick of seeing that cliche years ago. I feel like if you wanted to make Cynder and Ember more interesting, there's a lot you could do with them besides making them fight over the main character or some similar scenario.

As for Malefor, he just really wouldn't fit in anywhere in the original Spyro universe.

Cynder being in a classic Spyro game has potential, just... not in this one, if you ask me. it's not because of Cynder (notevensayingitguys), it's just because this game closes all of the windows i'm trying to open here.

the dialogue in this game wasn't that good. it's like new Spongebob, they took the quirks of each character (Hunter's ego, Moneybags's greed, etc.) and made them into the main focal point of the characters' personalities (except Bentley, they just... "changed" him). Cynder's parts of this game would probably go something like:

her arguing with Ember would just be an underdeveloped plotpoint, because Ember's only in one scene.

Cynder being an additional playable character could be awesome in any other game, but the ones already in this one are mostly wasted potential anyway. Flame and Ember are both Spyro, just with different looks. (no literally like if Ember falls off a cliff, she yells exactly like Spyro.) they have the same breath abilities, same everything. unless she had a minigame thing like Sgt. Byrd? but eh. the minigames already in the game kinda bugged me.

you have a really good idea going here, the problem is the game isn't holding up its own end of the bargain. the whole thing needed additional work yet imo anyway, but if it had been tweaked more (especially the dialogue), Cynder could have made an interesting addition to a game like this. overall i'm not the best person to be commenting here because, as you can tell, i'm not a big fan of AHT anyway. tongue

Well, I'm thinking that Cynder would have made more appearances, would have caused Ember and Flame to come in at one point BECAUSE of her frequent appearances...maybe getting a bit of a Sonic Heroes mechanics in there...

Wow. We really need another Spyro game.

that has potential, but again, i just don't see it working in AHT.

yeah, i'm definitely not a big fan of this game. hmm i like your ideas though.

i think Ember and Cynder would work far better as friends than rivals, because the whole rivals things has been done to death. Embers quirky personality would balances Cynders personality nicely imo.
