Interesting Thing About Spyro the Dragon Early Development
I used to have a copy of PSX Extreme Magazine back in 1998-1999 when I got the Spyro the Dragon Dimension Publishing Strategy Guide. I wish I still had that magazine today and I don't. Anyway, there was a screenshot in it related to Spyro the Dragon that showed the Artisan's Castle having a door in it in the early development stage which they took out right before releasing the final game. I wish I had a source of this to show, but I have nothing. I have been trying to find a beta or early demo of the game that still had it, but I have had no luck at all. I don't even think the beta version that LXShadow on Youtube has got has it. Has anyone ever heard of this little tidbit concerning Spyro the Dragon?
I'm both a sucker for Spyro and old school houses!!!

No, but I do remember a similar matter wherein a magazine featured an image of Gnasty Gnorc clad in a green/white striped shirt, of course I spent many hours wondering where in the game he would appear wearing that rather than his standard yellowish-brown attire
Actually I think I know where I have that magazine (no throwing things out for the win); I'll go look for any artisan doors, but I don't think there was anything like that in there.

It was REALLY old. I really wish I still had the magazine. If I did, I would find someway to show the image. It was interesting. I had also read that the Machinist world (Gnasty's World) and Artisans were connected. Maybe the castle was the connecting point. I guess we'll never know.

Gnasty looks glitched up there. O.o glad they changed that.
and VashtiWoodlawn, that's really interesting about the castle.

You might be right about the texturing, especially looking at the black parts and the lower right sleeve in the bottom screenshot.
Still so I think the greens were rather fitting
