Playable on PCSX2
I just remembered that after I got a new pc, I can finally play this game on it using PCSX2! 
It's running pretty smooth on hight resolution too. Here are some screenshots, some of them could be used as wallpaper too

I've played the original trilogy on an emulator, but I've never tried playing any of the PS2 games on one. What system requirements do you think would be suitable to play the game smoothly? I'm using a regular HP laptop, so it's no top of the line computer system, and most definitely not a gaming laptop. Do you think it would be playable, even with a basic integrated graphics card, or would I be better to buy another PS2?

i can't say too much about this, but i can say, i have a Compaq Presario SR5313WM and run Windows Vista. i can run PS1 games just fine, but as for TLOS, i can just barely get these games to work. they probably cap at 2 FPS and only get slower from there. so use that as a rough guide.
i got a new computer but for various reasons haven't gotten around to setting it up yet. hopefully i'll remember to report back here once i do.
