New Spyro Game
Does anyone know if they plan to make another Spyro game, like a new one after Reignited is released? I want one to be made and to see more romance between Spyro and Cynder. Am I the only one that hopes for a new game?

Re: New Spyro Game
I'm sure you aren't the only one hoping for a new game, but the fate of Spyro is pretty much unknown after the remaster. I'm just grateful we're getting the game to begin with tbh,

Re: New Spyro Game
I hope so but the fate of Spyro is up in the air. Once the game is out for a while maybe we'll see in a couple months.

Re: New Spyro Game
Probably won't happen unless and until Crash gets one.

Re: New Spyro Game
It might actually happen. Notice how we got Crash last year and Spyro the year after. It might be similar to how they switched between two different publishers for each yearly cod realease. If anything, stay tunned for next years Crash game reveal. If we don't hear any thing at all next year then it might not happen. It would certainly be welcomed by many if we were to get a new Spyro but I can't say it will happen.

i think it's gonna take a lot for them to do anything with TLOS honestly the original Spyros have a way bigger and more nostalgic fanbase. TLOS never had that. it had a really passionate fanbase, but not nearly as big of one, and it divided the community pretty strongly.

Re: New Spyro Game
Like others have said, it might mirror whatever Activision does with Crash Bandicoot. Also when dealing with Activision, they are the type of company who goes all in on their properties, so either they invest in several opportunities for Spyro, or they don't make any at all. Because Activision made the decision to give Toys for Bob the remaster job, it tells me they are winding up for more games.
You can find some articles that make it sound like it could definitely happen, but nothing is official. Take this article for example:
http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/201 … g-in-2019/
It seems that the popularity of the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy will bear wumpa fruit for fans that want more Crash. According to GB eye, a licensed merchandising company in Europe, we could see another Crash Bandicoot game before 2020. Max Arguile, the licensing manager for GB eye, has gone on record in the Spring 2018 issue of the “Licensing Source Book Europe” to reveal that a Crash Bandicoot game is planned for 2019.
On page 97 of the Licensing Source Book, Arguile says that due to the N.Sane Trilogy’s “huge success at retail with no marketing spend,” we’ll see it come to Switch and PC this year. He adds, “There will be another game in 2019. Activision have a five year plan for this and GB eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.” Based on Arguile’s comments, it looks like Crash is headed multiplatform again, but mention of the Xbox One is notably absent.
It’s exciting news for anyone that hoped the success of the N.Sane Trilogy would bring about a revival of the Bandicoot and classic gaming platforming titles. The suggestion of a five year plan indicates that not only are we likely to get a new Crash Bandicoot game in 2019, but that Activision has intentions to release additional games beyond that.
It’s not clear from this quote what exactly “another game” means though. Will 2019 bring a brand new and wholly original Crash Bandicoot game, or has the team at Vicarious Visions been hard at work with a remake of something like Crash Team Racing or Crash Bash? I’m highly doubtful any of the post-2000 Crash games are being remade, as this is where review scores started slipping and most people’s nostalgia for the series ends, but there’s a love and demand for the racing game in particular.
Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing Crash Team Racing get a modern remake (the PS4 could use some really fun cart racing games), but I’d also love to see what the team at Vicarious Visions could do when allowed to develop an entirely original Crash game. It’s likely we’ll hear a lot more about the series later this year.
I think there will be another Spyro game. I would expect one to come either late 2020, or sometime in 2021. Also Skylanders is still a thing. Even though they haven't released a Skylanders console game in 2 years, there is still development for Skylanders in terms of mobile games, and a not-so-horrible Netflix series that keeps renewing for seasons. So Skylanders could still be a think that Activision will make more games on in the future, which I know for a lot of people who don't like Skylanders is a bit of a scary thought, but I think the toys-to-life model is permanently retired. So in my opinion, we will get a Spyro game in 2020-2021 that is basically a Spyro 4 that can stand alone but is also a squeal to Year of the Dragon and possibly Etd and AHT (I don't think they should be overly concerned with continuity), or we will get another Skylanders game that is different from other Skylanders games that has Spyro in it. Or we could get both. Both is possible. I know it would be weird to have two different Spyros going on at the same time, but because of the difference between traditional Spyro lore and Skylanders, I think its possible.
lt;dr - There will probably be a new game in 2020ish. Activision doesn't typically do one-time flings, especially if they sell well.
