Dante's Freezer

Okay, I was just reading up on random things on Wikipedia, and I somehow go to reading about the Circles of Hell. Don't ask why, I'm not a crazy satanist or religious person, just random browsing and such. A

Anyways, apparently Dante's Inferno is part of a world-famous poem about a person who traverses the Nine Circles of Hell. The story goes that a man named Dante apparently committs suicide, or comes close to it, and goes to Hell, yet still as a mortal. The Inferno is Hell, essentially. It's known as Dante's Inferno.

Now, do you wonder where the writers of A New Beginning Came up with the name of Dante's Freezer?

Interesting, how religion is noticed in Spyro.

Re: Dante's Freezer

Nah, I get more respect for companies when I see things that have ties to religion and mythology. It shows they didn't just make up a stupid name, rather they went out and looked to religion or mythology for a name.

Re: Dante's Freezer

I would honestly not like spyro to have things in it about witchcraft or demons etc etc.. It sort of wrecks it in my opinion. I would rather it be a clean game without such reference to such things...

Re: Dante's Freezer

Dante's Freezer and Dante's Inferno? Come on, Brom. They couldn't have just made a random similiarity like that. And, SR, who do you think the Dark Master is an allusion to?

Obviously satan.

I still don't like that kind of stuff In a game.

Will a refuse to buy a spyro game because of it? No.

Re: Dante's Freezer

I've heard of that. I liked a guy named Dante once and my mom always used to refer to that 'Dante's Inferno' thing to tease me.

I've always wondered about Dante's Freezer after that. Thanks for reminding me! xD
