Well, my faves would be Spyro's 3 and 2. The first one was good and all, but it needed a more complex story.

OMG! Someone actually said 'I actually have a life cause I don't play Spyro!' mad I'd like to meet the person who said that and give him a piece of my mind!

Yeah the originals definatley my faveourite too, I just love the level design, music and atmosphere and how it blends together.

first and second. Though the third was a funny installment. big_smile I love the realms in the third, actually, the third has the best Spyro story too.
But the first and second is best even so.

I've been playing through Spyro 3 again lately (need cheats for Midday Gardens Boss tho sad ) and I loved the part where Hunter saves Bianca. That rabbit keeps bouncing on his head and he punches it off tongue LoL

Geez. I'm sorry if I'm not as good as everyone else here. But I truthfully find Spyro 3 frustratingly hard. If the bosses are gonna be so hard, then maybe the levels should be too (OR BOTH OF THEM BE EASY). Things just aren't consistant in the game

Yeah but Cruash & Gulp in Spyro 2 weren't THAT bad! I still think they should've kept the original idea of the bosses having their own level too...

Certainly makes gameplay a lot more interesting than just an arena. And all the arenas are the same for each game, so where's the creative design in that? sad

they're not all the same, but most are circles.
Actually, Mario already had the idea of bosses inside levels.

I meant the arenas are copied in each game. In Spyro 2 you fight Crush & Gulp in identical arenas. Ripto's is different. And from what I've played of YOTD, the arenas seem the same in each world. Buzz & Spike's dungeons anyway. Are the ones after them any different?

They probably use relatively the same engine.
Boss arenas are like that, but the bosses were too easy in Spyro 1 anyway.
