Re: The Best Spyro Game
They probably use relatively the same engine.
Boss arenas are like that, but the bosses were too easy in Spyro 1 anyway.
The game engine has nothing to do with the size/shape of the arena.
LoS, dare I say it, makes more sense then the other spyro games. I mean, it terms of areas and terrain, its generally more realistic.

Yeah. But even Spyro 2 wasn't impaired in terms of difficulty!

Re: The Best Spyro Game
Meh. I might try it again one day... WHEN I'M FEELING DESPERATE! Lol. It really does put me off Spyro games. I haven't a care in the world for bosses. I'm all about exploration.

Re: The Best Spyro Game
hehe, Spyro 3 were a bit wacked out when it came to different things. Like they had boxing, FPS, swimming, TPS, 3rd person platforming, bosses, more, more, more, more more!

Well boss battles were big back then, and they still are today. Around YoTD's time, boss battles were a new(er) thing. The other stuff they added wasn't storyline-necessary, but yes, was very cool. Wouldn't call it 'wacked out', though.

Re: The Best Spyro Game
Someone on GameSpot said that ANB had a good storyline. I wondered what it would be like if the game was a Turn-Based RPG?

Re: The Best Spyro Game
I voted for Spyro 1 but the Poll is dipsplayed in a way that says I can vote for another one too. Doesn't that defeat the object of polls, or a fair poll, at least?

Re: The Best Spyro Game
Yeah, that's my only beef with Spyro 1 too. Would be cool if we saw Spyro 1 get a remake with additional levels, the ability to swim and some added bonuses in the regular levels like being able to swim underwater to new sections.

Re: The Best Spyro Game
i think year of the dragon is the best game its really fun and i like the story and levels were really cool. Spyro 2 is second best i think and Spyro 1 is 3rd best. Its good but it could have been better
