I was on youtube yesterday and I found this video of someone playing during the opening cutscene in Spyro 2. It looks like stone hill with portals and the castle from artisands.

Isn't that just Stone Hill in the Artisans World from the first game? Or is he using some cheat to play in the cutscene rendering of it in Ripto's Rage?

Actually it is Stone Hill just with rain and different stuff and a Dragon Shores Portal (And no way to get to the castle...)

It may be that Insomniac just used the map for stone hill but edited it for the cutscene because they didn't find it too important as you were never supposed to be able to see the entire area anyway.

I dont think so, there were none of those spouts on the sides. and there was a lake there too. The boundries also seemed to low

Also he obviously hacked his game.

maybe, but who cares, its not very similar to stone hill at all. (theres 3 ways you can go at the start and theres no trees).
Maybe its a branch off stone hill or the artisans.

This is what the author of the video said on this matter on Youtube:

this is really weird, I found a code so that I can move around where the first cutscene about spyro's vacation took place. I can not glide here or it freezes. The atlas says that I am in the level summer forset in the world winter tundra, and spyros flame is different. Enjoy!!!
Heres the info about the code (soo soo many people have been asking, you really need a computer And Or A gameshark PRO And Compatable Playstation, remember this was orginal written to someone else:
Okay the code itself is 800681C8 0000 BUT you want to only activate it on the cut scene you want because otherwise it will activate on the title screen (with the caveman) and also you can not enter portals with the code on. This calls for a special type of code that you put in right on top of it called a Joker command. What you do is press a button like the Select button and the code will activate then. But those type of codes are not working for me right now (I have to do some more research.
BUT since I am on the computer or Gameshark Pro (ask before buying one because there are 2 different types of gs pro for ps one and 3 different types of ps one and they all come in either NTSC or PAL format) I can activate it when I want too.
BUT when I activate the code, Spyro just falls off the level and it freezes. However I had already made codes for spyro's positon (one set for the X positon, one for the Y positon and one for the height). So all I do is set all the X and Y positon codes to HEX 64 or Decimal (100) and the height to HEX C8 or Decimal 200. This will allow Spyro to fall on the level for the first cut scene about Dragon Shores. NEVER glide or charge in a cut scene it will freeze the game. You can jump by pressing the X button once though. And also for other cut scenes you will have to change the X and Y sets (in game by pressing the gs button or control-H for the PEC utilty) of positon codes or you will still fall thur.

but, remember, as the maker of the video said, we need more information first, because there's several kinds of GameShark Pro's and PS1's.
