First, let me say hello everyone!, i like spyro a lot(it obviously no?), i'm from spain(yeah spain), and i'm trying to make a Spyro rol game(like D&D, but with all the rules and atributes, and dice sistems created by all of us), the problem is that i can't make that rol game alone, so i need all the help u can give to me, so when we finish, we can play forum with it, or if u know group of people that want, to play with them...so what u say guys?, can u give me a hand?

I will if I can, but do you know how long that could take? It has taken Wizards of the Coast 2+ years to make 4th edition of D&D and they are not finished yet.

u play football?...great!, ok, the first question for the game is.....How do we make the character's page(its page or leaf?)?, please decide on them, the rules will be adapted depending on them...

we have a few options:

1-Mage the ascension
2-D&D
3-we will create it.

I say we make it, as none of those have catagories for... well flying and breathing fire, and well, all the things dragon do! The rules should [in my mind] be partly adapted from both, although I have about 100 times more experince with DnD ove magic asention, the thing about this is it's really going to have to be majorly origional as MOST RPG board game don't involve baing a dragon constantly.

Errrr, this may be above my level to ask but.... shouldn't we start with the charters involved? I mean, if we choose all the playable charters and bad guys and NPC's, we will then be able to make the rules and such based around the charters, instead of working around the rules and constantly revising them to work with a certan charters ablites and movement pattern and the like...

Just a thought......

ok, the characters that can be played are...all!, u can play as Spyro or Ripto, or u can create your character, now we have to think about the special abilities of the races(like dragons can breath fire, ice..etc)

Numero tres. (as to whixh set of rules)
Though I may bring up stuff from the non-Spyro RPG I am working on.
If dragons ar to be remotely balanced with other player races then they would have to be about Spyro's age, and not be a purple dragon.

not exactly, we will do something about it, the fact that a purple dragon can breath fire, ice, earth, thunder, isn't a excesive advantage for who plays as one of them.

Well, the beast way I can see evening out that is [if the charters don't fight agaisnts each other in a PvP way] have charters with a huge arsonl of ablites start at a very week levle, but upgrade faster [like Spyro/Cynder], wile other charters with limited ablites start off stronger, but levle up much slower [like thae gardins and such]

we must separate the cahracters who can have a lot of abilities(they will be for the players), then the char that don't have a great tree of abilities(there are the npc(monsters, guards, mision briefs, pets, etc), what u think?

Good start, now to start with in races from the game there are Manweresmalls, Atlowa (the llama people in Tall Plains), and dragons (and apes possibly).

Should they even be involved if they are not going to be playable? Making it so that they level up the same way as the Player sounds a little... well, useless, why can't they just be givven a set number of skills and a certain ablilty level and leave it?

Now, when you say "Everyone" do you mean people like Bently, Ember, Flame, Agent 9 and such, or just TLOS charter or just charters prior to TLOS?

i sayed everyone as everyone, i know it can be problematic, but we can separate the char in three alignements, good, neutral, and evil so that way would be more easy to play with it, but some chars lwill be npc...
