Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
I don't know if this is the official name, but on DarkSpyro it says they are called Death Hounds. Seems rather appropriate.

Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
Design-wise, I think the Death Hounds are my second-favorite baddies (right under the Dread Wings).

Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
I loved the Dread Wings in ANB because they were always so delightfully easy to kill (just hook 'em with electricity breath and throw them off the edge ) and their attacks were cool.
In TEN...not so much. They never came at you themselves but were always carrying some obnoxious, fire-throwing monkey that was no fun to fight at all. D:

Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
I only found large numbers of enemies to be annoying, and nothing else (after I got to where the Ravage Rider was easy).
Dreadwings do fight like they do in ANB in the Dragon Challenges.

Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
In the ancient grove, I found that jumping on the little ledges and such helped me beat them, because it would give me time to think and not worry bout them killing me.

Re: The Hounds in Eternal Night
It's funny, but the first time I played TEN I had no problem with the Blunder Tails whatsoever and I couldn't figure out why everyone found them so difficult. But then on my second play through, they suddenly started used their dratted tail canons and I found out why everyone hated them.

After the first time where I missed the notice saying how to brake their guard I had no trouble.
